NC State Post Game Thread

I wish some of you could of been around Joe’s freshman year.
The comments would of been amazing.
It baffles me how you can watch Sims play and say he’s not going to be a good QB.
I mean everyone knows you never improve after your freshman year...smh

Also, our kicker is my new hero. We get nothing but misses and blocks in clear weather all year, and that God-among-men kicked two through a blizzard of sorrow to keep us in the game.

The interesting stat was that he has had more kicks blocked that anyone in FBS.

@BackstreetBuzz, you wanna chime in about them folks that woulda slammed Joe Hamilton?

As much as I am not happy about the penalties, especially one of those pass interference penalties that was bs, I know that this was far from the worst game of the season and it even showed development in certain phases of execution.

We could have and to some respect should have won this game. Obviously we suck in the red zone but what else is new?

Regardless that was a good football team. Not really good, but good.

Sucker. Should have sold it back to him. You have any idea how hard originality is to come by here? I sold a two-line post last week for 600 STDollars, but you could have probably gotten at least a solid 7.

What's the ratio of STDollars to butthurt futures?

6-15. Say whatever you need to say to rationalize it, I don't care. The numbers don't lie.
LOL because context doesnt matter? I mean it's not like we're rebooting the program after going all-in on the triple option or anything. Of course you know that so I'm taking your troll bait and pointlessly arguing with you.

Don't know that I've ever seen a team rush for anything close to 261 yards on 51 carries and come away with only 13 points.

Things that stick out to me about Sims:

- His pocket presence is very good for a true frosh. Does a great job of sensing when to stay in and when to escape.

- His running ability as a QB isn’t elite, but it’s extremely good. Great combo of agility and size.

- His accuracy on the run is terrible. Had several WRs without a defender within 5 yards and missed them completely while jogging away from pressure.

- He has no awareness of the 1st Down Marker on any play at any time. He risks cutting outside when falling forward would be a 1st. He checks down on 3rd and long when he’s got time. He tries to juke a guy on 3rd and goal when he’s got a receiver available. Very frustrating given his above average pocket presence.

The good news is the first 2 are more natural and the latter 2 are more coaching. So theoretically he should get better and better.

So wait.... am I to understand that there are doubters of Simms?

No such assertion has any merit and anyone advancing such an assertion should self-terminate immediately if not sooner.

Accuracy is not coachable. Sorry.
