NC State Post Game Thread

Lamar college C% progression by year:
54.7, 56.2, 59.1

Cam (small sample size):
50, 50, 66.1

Baker:
64.1, 68.1, 70.9, 70.5

But please, bookmark away oh wise one.
The fact that you actually believe that completion percentage tells you a passer's accuracy says more than I could ever respond with. What a dunce.

Was this exam week for the team? Could explain some of the fatigue. We’ll bounce back. Tough seeing the penalties continue. Hopefully we figure out a way to cut that down next season.

What evidence do you have that Sims has the "minimum level of talent" to be a consistently accurate passer?

Sure, of COURSE I would love to believe he is going to be an accurate passer! What would be better for Tech football, which I have cheered for EVERY GAME for more than 40 years. We've had a QB deficit for 20 years. God how I would love to have a Sunshine or even a Kyle Flask or Zach Wilson pulling the trigger behind center.

But I just cannot be Blind Homer. Sorry. Not able to do it. I llive in Realville and experience tells me that it is extremely unlikely that Sims becomes an accurate passer. I remember all the hype about Jameis Winston. His redshirt freshman stats were incredible - and if you just looked at stats he looked "can't miss." But it only took a couple of games actually watching him play to see that he was not an accurate passer (although a lot more accurate than Sims). Seven years later, and nothing about that has ever changed. It hardly ever does.

I get it. You're a homer. You want to wish it into existence. But why don't you wish in one hand and crap in the other and tell us which fills up first.

No one would be happier than me to be wrong about this. But I'm not.

Winston won a BCS...

What planet are you on

I expect all of you who are claiming that Sims will be an accurate passer will have the balls to defend that statement here this time next year. In the meantime . . . I'm taking names.

I think it was in the 2nd quarter. Wanna say 5-10 minutes in but not sure on the specifics
Bless. I'm gonna look once the game video is up, but at the same time:

A) I'm bearing in mind that those two clowns could have just been outright full of it. If they weren't, it would be the exception to the rest of the broadcast.

2) I'm not expecting that any network with the xhamster-quality which is now the hallmark of the ESPN family, to have actually caught on camera anything we might want to see.

I think people are just confused because every QB you have used as an example of how you can't coach passing has been an incredible college QB. Like multiple titles, Heismans, and even a pair of NFL MVPs between them incredible.

It's just a little odd. Those seem like examples you would use to give hope that Sims can develop, not as examples of coaching failures.

All I know is I follow Arky, too, and their freshman QB played for the first time for any amount of time today and he looked about as good. Take that for what it is worth. Sims may end up being decent but he isn't rare. I am rooting for him.

K.

I’d like to see Sims completion percentage when you factor out drops, throwaways, balls he got hit throwing, etc.

I think it was in the 3rd quarter (and maybe inferred more than once during the game); but why bother looking it up since you think they were mindless talking slime?
At this point I don't even know what you're trying to say. Is it that you liked the announcers and you're mad that everyone here thought they were jackasses? Or that you're defending yourself by proxy?

Here's a name for you: öööö off.

Then go ahead and die already

Write mine down too, asshole

Go ahead and add my name to that list. All 4 of the QBs you used as prime examples of why Sims’ accuracy can’t improve won Heisman trophies. 2 won NFL MVP awards.

All of them would easily be the most successful QB in GT history, so I’m gonna go ahead and say you’re either trolling or an idiot.
