Ehh, punting isn’t an all-or-nothing scenario liking placekicking where it’s 3 points or 0 on the board. You can also hit a duck fart of a punt that is effective if it rolls the right direction. Hard to do that on a FG

How many times did we punt or go for it in 4th down and fail in plus territory this season? Having a good kicking game takes some pressure off the offense to score TDs every drive, and also can allow play calling to change. You can't just look at it as adding 3-6 net points to each game.
