First commit for 2010 prediction...

Why does Connor Shaw have an offer? It's my understanding that we're only going to have 9 or 10 scholarships to give next year, 12-13 at the most. Is he that much better than Jaybo to warrant an offer? I honestly don't know.

It does not really matter....because we are getting three QB's in Luallen, Sims, and Aycock all in one year that we would love to get in three years.

Real question is WHEN do we expect some of these guys to commit? Would be great to get several REALLY early in the game, just to get the class started and put some fear into people that the class will fill up...

Believe it or not...we expect a few within the next 30 days or so...possibly prior to signing day for this class!

btw...Anthony Williams has a verbal offer from us and will get his written offer on Jan. 31 for Elite Junior Day at GT. He could accept on the spot..we are his only offer thus far. I would not be shocked to have Connor Shaw commit (also offered by Stanford)...or even Ryan Ayers (no offer yet, but will likely get one Jan. 31).

Our top BB target is Charles Perkins of Centennial (coach is a huge Dawg...GT only offer thus far but that will change)...and AB target is Mack Brown (MLK...same school as Joel Kight...already has offers from Louisville, Oregon, Arkansas, Duke).

Is A Williams from Union Grove HS?

What has been our earliest commit in the past? I think it would be HUGE to get a couple of people this early...

That's awesome. Keep the UGHS pipeline flowing. I don't keep up with the recruiting game, but UGHS is where my kid goes to school and I recognized the name. For those that don't know, AWilliams reminds me alot of MJ. Same frame and build.

Can anyone (probably Hiver) tell me who are our main O-Line,LB and DB's targets for 2010? I know Connor Shaw, Brown and Perkins are main targets but what about DeAndre Smelter, Tailer Jones and Barry Bostic, are they realistic targets or will the Junior day camps take them away from us? Is Bostic close enough to Chris Crenshaw for Chris to pull him over to us?

Not sure about Smelter. But we are activley recruiting Tailer Jones and Barry Bostic. CPJ visited Tailer in school earlier this week according to the AJC. Bostic, I think is a UGA's if they offer.

Bostic is a Dawg/Gator LOCK.

There are tons of schools on Jones...just like McCoy. We will likely get a visit from Jones...but it will be a long battle.

We are the only offer for Barry Bostic. We met with him and Chris Crenshaw together the last time we were there and it went well....he is Crenshaws cousin. Bostic really thinks he wants that UF or UGA offer....and he may stay true to that....but lets see what happens after Chris is on campus.

Smelter likes us a lot...but he may like MLB baseball money better.

That guy is unreal. Does anybody know the chances of landing this guy?
From what I gather he is not interested in us that much. Seems like he loves the SEC. To bad because he could gain so much more yards at Tech than any of those schools. I still don't get why Running backs are not breaking down the doors to come to Tech. Even if you aren't the best back at Tech you are going to gain a ton of yardage ask R. Jones. While many of these guys are going to have to wait 2 years to get good playing time at these SEC schools.

Very nice, I graduated from UGHS in 2004. Havn't followed the football program as much recently as I used to. But definately a good school to have a pipeline from. Atleast when I was there, it was a very solid college prep highschool that would be the perfect type of ground for Tech to recruit from. A lot of great teachers there.

Wow. I hope this guy comes to the Flats. We need some big hog mollies up front.
