All the stuff about funding and money for the future can wait for another day. But having the man who made the decision not take questions about his decisions, no matter how much those decisions needed to be made, is what Schultz is looking at.

I'm going to convince myself that he was advised to do this by lawyers because questions would lead to him commenting on private personnel decisions and be a lawyer's wet dream. Horrendous optics, though.

That sounds incredibly unproductive, other than the question about buyouts. Which again, is something that should and hopefully will be asked later when the coaching search actually starts.

Collins is gone. Ruminating on whether he should have been let go earlier or could have stuck around in some hypothetical world is beneficial to no one and would only be a distraction for the team and the fans who need to really around them. Double so for the salacious details about who walked him to his car and other similar things.

I understand why reporters would like to be able to ask those questions but I'm glad he didn't give them the opportunity.
 
Just occured to me that Prez Cabrera took the time to express his appreciation and respect to Todd and acknowledged his commitment, etc.

Prez Cabrera did not even mention Collins.
