I defaulted to yes for now, but my final answer will depend on the staff. We better be pulling in various P5 assistants making at least lateral moves and at least one holy smokes coordinator.

I voted no. But, it really is more of a meh for me. But, if he is officially hired I will be on board, wish him the best, and hope he proves me very wrong.

None of you know for certain which coaches/agents have been contacted by JBatt. Of those, if any, contacted, none of you know which have flat out said they’re not interested in coming to GT; which have a salary floor that is too high; which have agreed to an interview. Basically, none of you know öööö from shinola about who’s available. And, if it’s not your guy, you’re going to bitch. So, bitch on, or just roll with it. Won’t change a thing.

No. But I'll be watching next season and I sure as hell won't be burning my Tech stuff.

I know Deion wasn't offered so he failed in my book

I think no matter who gets hired (and it looks like it'll be Fritz), there is acceptance followed by rationalizing followed by optimism. So the yeses will probably be highest right after the introductory press conference.
Definitely in this camp. Initial reaction was disappointment -- but after reading up further he seems OK, nothing flashy -- maybe what we need right now. Really hope he brings the OC with him, if in fact we've made the hire. Twitter is all sorts of confused

If true, it’s very uninspiring and an extremely pragmatic hire. But we are nothing if pragmatic and can over logic our way into any decision. It’s a blessing and a curse. Hopefully, this will be a blessing.

I was all in on CBK and still feel he is the right hire. We will likely lose Key so hope Fritz knows his öööö. That said, I’ll fall in line with whomever is hired and hope for the best.

I voted yes, but honestly I'm just happy that the coach is anyone other than this guy.

Nothing against the guy’s age or his football knowledge, but do we really want to hire a 63 year old guy who will be crucified by our fanbase after his first loss and then picked on by the buzzards called Atlanta sports media? How long is he gonna want to do that? When you look at his resume you can see he turned programs around in lower levels of competition but do those schools come with the expectations of our fanbase? I don’t see one program on that list that’s as stressful as being Tech head coach. How long would you want to do that if you’re 63? We’re going back to this bullshit coaching search in 5 years maximum if he can survive that long and that’s not saying he will be dog öööö, that’s saying he won’t put up with it. I don’t know if I would at 63 unless it’s my school.
