Stephen Hill just declared for the NFL draft.

BOR is covering his bases nicely as of late with excellently crafted posts like this. Look how this post allows BOR to be right whether PJ bombs and gets fired or wins the national championship! Either way, BOR told you so! VERY TELLING!

Did I miss something? Did we beat Georgia in the last six weeks?

The long ball drops are one problem, but some of that is also on the QB.

My biggest concern if I were an NFL team is how Hill did on the quick outs. Compare Hill to BeBe or Calvin, Hill rarely broke one of those against BCS talent. BeBe could beat a corner one on one either with speed or strength. Calvin could do both and also throw in the ability to juke. Hill generally went down for a 2 yards gain.

I just don't see Hill getting drafted period. I mean, was Hill the best WR in the game in any of our ACC games? Bad choice. Maybe he thinks he has no chance at a breakout year like BeBe had. Or maybe grades aren't going well and he doesn't expect to get to practice like he needs to get into NFL shape.

It's worse than you think. These evaluations are historically incredibly rosy. As in "projecting 70 players to be picked in the first round" rosy. If his evals didn't have him going in the first three rounds, I'd interpret that they don't see him going in the first 6 rounds. Think "undrafted free agent" as a likely option. Or maybe not even that.

Which worked out OK for James Harrison, but not for most people.

With an outstanding combine, I could see invited to camp/undrafted free agent - no signing money. But I don't see him getting drafted at all.

Bad decision on his part, bad for us next season. Harrison Barnes stays to play basketball at UNC. Stephen Hill is turning pro. Go figure.

You got to feed a guy like this and keep him happy. Hill was visibly pissed off the last few games because he was not getting the ball. He'll get picked in round 4 or 5 and get a couple million bucks for his rookie contract- cant blame him for leaving.

He won't get invited to the combine, which makes it more stupid.

What is this based on?

Last year more than 300 prospects were invited including 46 WRs.

I'd be willing to place a wager on him getting an invite.

Come on now, you know BOR is right. He's always right. He might beat you up if you disagree.

Hell there's already mock drafts moving him into the top 3 rounds, one has him in the first.

He was probably in academic trouble. Didn't seem like a GT student type of guy.

I'll be much more upset if Uzzi declares.

Where is this "didn't seem like a GT student type of guy" information gathered from.

Not saying it is not true, just wondering where people get this info. I did not hear that during either of the past 2 seasons.

What mock draft has that?

I can make write a mock draft too.

:rotfl:

Even if he does somehow get drafted, he still has to make the team and he has to do it starting out at a disadvantage. He has a tough road ahead of him. It's more than likely that this will turn out to be nothing more than a decision to quit school.
