OK. What will you say if, in 2013, the team doesn't perform like you expected? Will you call for CPJ's head? Remember that, potentially, Tech could have a QB starting his first college game ever that season, and, the schedule for 2013 and 2014 will be the toughest possible ACC schedule in the conference, with FSU in the rotation those two years. Would you be willing to fire a good coach after one year with a new QB? To me, at that point, there is too much potential in the future with the development of VL and JT at QB, an even more experienced OL the next year, an ever-improving defense, and improvement in the quality of the recruiting classes to scrap everything and start over. Overall, I think we agree in principle; we just disagree on the amount of patience we are willing to show. Thanks for the discussion.
What did you say about Chan when he had just had his best recruiting class, Reggie Ball was gone, and we were only one year removed from the ACCCG? I'm rooting for him, but if 2013 is a repeat of 2010, he'll be gone. We would have paid off Gailey by then and would only have a couple of years left on Hewitt. I'm rooting for CPJ to get it right, but the program has regressed since the Gailey recruits ran out. Unlike AE87's assertion, I'm not calling for his firing yet, but next year is all his recruits and the following one gives him Seniors that he recruited with a full recruiting season under his belt.
For the most part, we're on the same page, but doubt has started to creep in my mind. Maybe Vad Lee or someone will change it, but I'm starting to be a little apprehensive. However, I will still root for GT come hell or high water.
