He quit translates into we failed to keep him. One can spin it any way they want.
I could not be more hyped about the new regime and the direction of the program. The fact that Braun has reasons to want to play his last year of eligibility somewhere else has not lessened my hype level at all. Some of y’all need to shake the sand out of your vag and get back on the train. Choo Choo!!

Social media puts you in the conversation amongst the rest of P5 and is a way to get info out faster. For instance, the “Winter is Coming” hashtag is doing very well and is marketing our offseason program. Same goes for 404 Friday, #NewEra #4theCulture. If this new marketing strategy does not yield more results, yes i will be disappointed, but i don’t think it will be the case

So, ego stroking then? I agree that you have to do and should be doing it, but my point is that we aren’t going to out-social-media other schools. Bottom line is going to be what we are doing on the field. First season is going to be huge in that regard.

Not a good look for Collins. All hype so far.
Well, we haven’t played a single game yet...

Absolutely! Everything we’ve done off the field is a complete rebuild. Our presence on social media in the past 2 months have been more than we’ve ever seen before. I really believe the Field of Dream line is true

“If you build it, they will come”

Our branding efforts have yielded great results (don’t believe me go check out the dancing exercise view from @GTstrength) and expect them to pay dividends again this weekend

Preach it brother. Let’s do this.

I wonder how the GT community will welcome him back 10 years from now when he wants to stand on the sideline and all that stuff.

I'll be very happy to have him come back and stand on our sideline. Parker Braun gave us some great play on the football field. He represented us well on and off it. He has his GT degree. Perhaps he wants to see if there's somewhere else that's more established and where he knows what they are going to do and he can get more publicity and more preparation for, hopefully, a great career in the NFL. I have no problem at all with him or the decision he is making. I don't have a problem with it even if it's because he liked CPJ's style better than CGC's. I've gone through leadership changes at companies where I've worked and it can be very difficult when the personalities and styles are very different.

So if Parker Braun wants to come to GT games later in life then I'll be happy to have him come back and I'll cheer for him if he gets introduced.

IMO, he’s leaving more for cultural reasons than football reasons. You can’t tell me that a year under Brent Key in a more pro style offense wasn’t going to prepare him for the NFL, which was the stated rationale for his transfer. So that doesn’t hold water with me. What I do think, gleaning a little about his family, the attraction of Tech was they were playing for a very restrained, old school coaching staff who came from a military school background. No frills. Very reserved. I can’t imagine what Coach Collins is doing with trying to embrace the city’s hip hop culture and social media is making them anything but squeamish. And, that’s fine. Some young men and their families will be turned off by what Collins is doing. If that’s the case, and he feels he needs to follow his heart elsewhere to feel like he fits in, I can’t fault him for it. Far more kids and their families, I think, will be attracted to it.

Well then, he certainly shouldn't be headed to UF.

This is a theory. I doubt it's true, and we should be able to disprove it once we see where he transfers to.

I’ll spin it to he left the program of his own choice and I won’t spin it to something negative about our new coaching staff while they’re in the beginning of trying to build something. How’s that?
Makes you feel better, go with it. For me, with all I've heard about the "vibe" makes me wonder if the sales pitch isn't as powerful as everyone wants to think. Never a good thing to lose your best lineman when they are in such short supply.

Everyone is replaceable.

I just wanna know if we have any grad transfers coming in. Unless we can get the RB from Rome or a similar stud at another position, I'd rather get a 22 year old grad transfer that can come in and play immediately in our pro style system. That 'ship would then free up for 2020 for Collins' first class recruited exclusively by the new staff.

We’ll have two 4* by the end of this recruiting cycle

I expect we will have 1-2 grad transfers this summer. I know UVA has a guard who is graduating this spring and is transferring. OL just seems like the best place to find OL for one year. I have to believe we will sign 5-7 OL in the 2020 class.

What if he goes to uga, are we gonna call him a stand up guy then?

Well the precedent has already been set. He knows that if he shows up in Athens ( I have absolutely no idea where he will end up) then he will have one former teammate that will show up in person to cheer for him and his new team.
