And Dave Womack was fired Jan 8, 2010. And it was because of that uga game ya moron. Tech didn’t force a punt. So yes he was fired for that performance after the season. You want to point the finger at play calling in that game on O? You dumb for sure. It was a loss due primarily to poor D play and near zero ability to stop the uga rushing game. Get a clue.

Want to say Iowa shut our O down that year? No argument. But uga? Man please you damn dumb.

LOL Iowa did shut down our rushing game. Just about every elite team we faced under PJ shut us down.

205 yards rushing in a year where we averaged 300+ per game....24 pts at home in a year when we scored 34 per game....mutt loser DC stymied the mighty TO for the vast part of that game. The stats show it. The score shows it. The loss shows it. That team only scoring 24 points at home vs one of the worst mutt Ds we would play in 11 years also shows it. It was a complete debacle. Only a moron like you would continue to defend it. Pun intended. 10 pts and over 150 yards LESS for us that game than usual is "good offense" only to the cult member or the deranged. You appear to be both.

Throwing 3 sideline bombs/posts in a row with 1:48 in the game and at midfield were literally the 3 stupidest playcalls of the PJ Era. He could've called at least 1 TO to Dwyer or something. Oh wait, 14 carries - 33 yards. Yeah, you're right, that was terrible mutt D that night and great O. 2.3 yards/carry - wow, ööööing amazing!!!

You should apply for membership into the PJ Fan Club. You'd be a great coffee maker guy. Meetings are usually on Thursdays. Your boy GTFELCH has sign-up info.

Sometimes it’s hard to believe some of you went to GT or are should be smarter than average fans being GT sidewalk fans with your basic knowledge of statistics. You generally score less points, gain less yards, etc playing an above average defense. That’s how it’s supposed to work.

The mutt gave up 126 yds/game rushing over the course of the season and 213 yds/game passing for a total of 339 yds/game. GT had 340 yds on 135 passing and 205 rushing.

Not a bad game but not great & considering what I mentioned earlier that some of you overlooked including one who even played in the game and should know better. Damn.

It was a great moral victory.

Without JT5 deciding he liked playing QB more than CB, CPJ is gone sooner.

There’s no such thing as a moral victory, it’s call a loss. And yes, without great player there are no great coaches. They play the game after all and have to make the play not just call it.

Yes, he was our big catch. Without him, we got nothing.

During the play I heard the whistle right before he reached in. For some reason on the replay espn showed the whistle after he reached in.
Granted I was a martini in- but said the same thing last night when watching.

There’s a lot of aspects that go into great teams but #1 over the last 40-50 years is most often a great QB. Take GT for instance, JT & JFN & Goose & Lil’ Joe & Shawn Jones, etc. We’d all be enshrining Gomer in the GT HOF if he could have recruited someone a notch better than Suggs, Bilbo, Reggie, TB, Booker, etc. Careers are made or ruined not having the critical pieces that’s needed.

So finally, you clarify by admitting your definition of a “shutdown” performance on D is keeping the other team below their averages for yards and points. That’s a dumb definition of a “shutdown” but you are free to be as dumb as ya want and define things accordingly for yourself. :D

You waited over 2 weeks to bump this dead thread and post that?

Anyone making excuses about 2009 loss vs mutts or trying to pretend it wasn't the worst loss of the PJ Era is a ööööing moron.
