#12 - WDE/OLB Eddie Watkins

One thing I did not know about until this year following recruiting was how many unranked kids there still are and how much potential for re-ranking there is for every kid. Obviously, there is how they play in the Sr year but more importantly for their rankings is how many camps they attend and how well they do in them. I would have figured the rankings were fairly complete for kids completing their Junior year but that is not the case.

Another quirk of getting such an early jump on 2020.

This was 247's ranking as soon as he was added to our total. Not long after that, apparently somebody on 247 staff felt the need to re-evaluate someone on the Dwag commit list to bump them above us. Sounds real legit to me...:bfd:

I saw that somewhere also. Somewhere I also saw a video of CGC's defense at FL and they were showing how they play in the gaps but were very disciplined and it was extremely effective. I'm not real good at this, but it looked to me like they were lined up where like 9 players could be coming and it was so disguised it was impossible to tell who was coming and from where. What I saw was really impressive. Appeared to me that all the players were long, fast and quick. I remember one play where it looked like the whole team was coming and it wound up being just 3 or 4 out of the front 4. Coming from my memory, I could be off on some of it.
 
Maybe we are going to have a 6-3 or 7-1 defensive set and drop whoever we want into coverage. I'm pretty sure the offense would automatic out of a running play if they saw 8 or 9 DE's or LB's at the LOS.
