2020 Recruiting

Battle's bump came after he decomitted from Maryland, IIRC. Could be wrong. It may have been before.

On the other hand, Khatavian Franks got a big bump on 247 after signing with us. He is a 4 star on there and # 22 player in Georgia. His 5.6 on rivals keeps him just short of being a composite 4 star.

I have favored rivals in the past, but one suspicion I have about them is they favor guys who attend their camps and cozy up to their insiders. When I see a big disparity between the two, I am starting to lean more toward 247.

This is a common source of confusion. He is still a 4-star according to 247 itself, and his rating (not ranking) actually went up from a 91 to a 92. However, he took a very slight dip in the 247 composite, which factors in the ratings of other services. Rivals has him as a 5.7 (high 3 star). ESPN also has him rated as a 3 star. IMO, ESPN ratings should be removed from the composite, if they haven't been, already.

We are splitting the tiniest of hairs at this point

Long story short, 247 has him rated more highly than anyone, just like Franks, and it must have been some small shift in another service's ratings that dropped him just below composite 4 star status.

Thanks for the clarification and explanation. Regardless, I'm glad he's ours and can't wait to see him on The Flats!

No doubt. Like I say, splitting hairs at the most micro level, but he is a high level talent, for sure.
 
It's changed twice since he last played a game - up and then down. Crazy.

Which site fell for the fake recruit last year? Wasn't it 247?
