Offering PWO is not in any way a bad thing. There are lots of good college players that started as a walk on. Lay and Brooks are contributing at this level.Anyone have thoughts on PWOs? It seems like we are offering a lot more of those than we did in the past and are being strategic about it. Seem to be making offers to players from large schools that have a good football program and/or players that have connections to VIP recruits.
So is it different than in the past? Does everyone think it is a good idea?

I don’t think this is new. The Gibbs/PWO situation has just become well known after filtering through the boards. And CPJ preferred giving kickers schollies to try to attract better talent there (to mixed results).
