2024-2025 Transfer Portal News

We’re sure to have some QB attrition. Have to figure we go after at least 1 QB from the portal this cycle.
 
Castellanos got hurt in the last game and O'Brien put in the backup and is sticking with the backup this week.
His TD:INT ratio is much better this year but his rushing numbers are way, way down - also taking many more sacks this season.
 
I'm surprised he is being benched. I've always felt he was a very good QB. He beat us last year and looked good doing so.
 
Seems like Castellanos has been hurt several times this year, IIRC.

Saw that Ukulele is going to try for a medical redshirt and come back to FSU next year, which would be hilarious.

Ukulele is not ready for the NFL so if he wants to make money playing football he needs a medical redshirt and transfer again to some desperate college.
 
I don't see us adding a QB in the portal. Right now, I think King is likely to return. I think Philo is his backup and will still have 2 years to start afterwards, 3 if he keeps his RS this year (not sure that will happen, though.) And then we have a Freshman coming in, Adamson.

I want to see Pyron start the NC State game just for the lulz factor. Heads would explode.

Don't forget the Knowles kid, who is 6-7, we signed in the class of 24.
I think stockpiling Philo, Knowles and Adamson is an indication the coaches don't think King is coming back, though the prudent path would be to take at least one QB a year.

Yep, knew I was forgetting something. Knowles was always a developmental guy so sitting for a few years was always the plan with him. And you always take at least one QB so I don't see it as stockpiling.

I kinda doubt that, our QB rom is loaded, we might lose one of Pyron or King, but have both Philo and Knowles who have both looked really good. Bringing in a transfer might piss off everybody…
