According to my OU friends (I worked in Oklahoma for a couple years), he wasn’t going to start. 5 star waiting behind him that will get the nod

Another Gamecock defender Tech recruited in the portal (and so is JMU's starting QB - right before their first bowl game)
 
JMU's McCloud is in the portal. Looking for a fourth school.
He played against Georgia Tech. Threw a TD pass.
Back in 2019.
 
Why are NC State players leaving?

Get coached up enough that they think they are too good for State??

I wonder if he was with the team in any capacity? Training table, S&C, anything. If not, landing somewhere P5 will be tough.

Lots of G5s out there needing help too.
Let's face it - if he's not getting any PT on offensive line at Tech, especially prior to this year ... yeah, I don't see P5 in his future.
