Honestly, I can’t believe that they didn’t go for Sark. He would be a good fit for Bama I think.

That would be a downgrade for sark. Both going to be top tier SEC schools next season, similar funding, facilities, etc. except at Texas he won’t have to live under Saban’s shadow.

From a $$$ and overall resources perspective it definitely is. Where is it easier to recruit? Alabama or Texas? Per some of the reports, Bama’s NIL collective isn’t as strong as some others.

Plus, reality is, who wants to be the one to follow the GOAT at any position or coach?

Saban would still be the HC at Bama if not for the nonsense of the Portal and lack of guardrails of NIL. You can no longer build and develop a team for 4-5 years anymore.

Yeah, everything about the programs are the exact same. Except when he’s at Texas, he’s not under the shadow of Saban. If he has a bad year at Bama he’s going to have death notes piled high in his office.
