IMO, we became complacent under butker and his reliable touchback kickoffs. we lost the experience covering kicks. it is what it is.. It'll be fineI think ST also suck because we don't practice them any.

Why do people say things like this? We practice ST all the dang time.I think ST also suck because we don't practice them any.
I'm not sure I follow that logic, because you could say the same thing about the other stuff BeeJ listed. Even with the two ejections, we still had a two score lead in the fourth quarter, therefore the ejections didn't cost us the game. Even with the injures to our starting QB, BB, and C, we still marched the ball down the field and scored twice and had a two score lead in the fourth quarter, therefore the injuries didn't cost us the game.
Yeah that’s a lot.I wonder how many teams have given up two consecutive KRs for TDs, had two defensive starters ejected for non-targeting, lost their QB, center, and tailback, and won.
I'll go out on a limb and say zero here. Sad thing is we still kick their ass with even a mediocre defensive performance.I wonder how many teams have given up two consecutive KRs for TDs, had two defensive starters ejected for non-targeting, lost their QB, center, and tailback, and won.
How do you figure we were so much better than them? They punted thrice, turned over on downs once and had one turnover. We punted twice, turned over on downs once, and had three turnovers. We were so much better than USF that we still should have won after spotting them 14 free points, except for all the other garbage that happened.
Because it looks like it. Kicker can't get ball in end zone, people don't stay in their lanes, nobody can avoid/get off their blocks. Either that or our kick teams are puffing the bong over on the bench. Why do people say things like this? We practice ST all the dang time.

...which is what drives me to the voodoo hex conclusion.

This doesn’t tell the story accurately.
Our center missed all of one play. The back up QB scored 3 TDs and the starter came back and looked like hot garbage. And I don’t buy the tailback. If anything that is just as next man up as anything. In fact Mason looked pretty damn good back there.
Because the HC doesn’t care about anything else than his offense
Man shut the öööö up about voodoo öööö. You can only use that ööööing excuse so many times. If you dont make a bowl in 3 years out of last 4 thats not bad luck. Wake the öööö up.
That way at the end of the season confab with Stansbury, he can point out that the D again was the problem for a bad season! How many DC has he had in 10 seasons ? 5 isn't it. It's his way to keep his job.He gives full control to whomever he hires as DC. That way he doesn’t have to be involved or take any of the blame.
Don't know about this season, but for past years PJ was the ST coach. What's a special team coach? Have we ever had one under Johnson?
Because the HC doesn’t care about anything else than his offense
No one gives two fucks about what he did at previous schoolsI think he cares based on his stay at GSU & Navy.
No one gives two öööös about what he did at previous schools
This is utterly stupid:This doesn’t tell the story accurately.

Hot garbage? You mean completing a 3rd and long conversion pass, and then another pass that was called back for a holding call that several here have said didn’t happen.
And in the drive he came back in on he was driving us for a TD until the fumble, which I’m pretty sure wasn’t his fault. You might disagree though.
The holding call looked legit. Blaming the refs is tired.
The fumble sucked - this team does that too often though. Seems less a fluke and more of a trend of sorts. CPJ sounded exasperated in the post-game and I can't blame him. This particular group of backs just keep putting the ball on the ground at the worst of times.
