I agree. This should be “bye week” #1 considering other teams have played 2 games and are coming off a bye. Instead GT gets a “bye” before and after the Miami game in November. Makes no sense.

Don't we have a bye week next week? I don't see a game scheduled on the 28th; or am I looking at a bad list?

OK…..And did you go and analyze what they returned on D/brought in via the Portal? GT is playing 2 players heavily who are transfers who have either been injured or not played much at their previous schools. There are 2 players who left and are starting elsewhere in the P4 that would have really helped this DL.

Correct. But GT shouldn’t have played 3 road games, 5 total before a “bye” week as you pointed out. GT plays 4 straight weeks again before getting 2 bye weeks before and after Miami. Bad scheduling.

Does it really make that much difference for the failures to be in the offseason instead of the in-season/in-game stuff?

It’s about Jimmy’s & Joe’s along the LOS. GT has the depth on the OL, the DL is and has been an issue for the better part of 17 years. You can make any scheme look great if you have the pieces in place. Right now, GT doesn’t.

This recruiting class looks like GT has some fixes coming soon (if they sign).

I guess the thing to me is this coaching staff isn't going to have a lot of time for some slow brewed development program; basically 2 years after this one to produce results worth keeping if memory serves. Maybe the money we are spending on these high schoolers would of been better spent keeping our defensive linemen from leaving.
