A thread about uga

So if something isn't verifiable as factual/truth & subsequently "corrected".......what would you label that?

Sorry to disappoint you, but I most certainly did. Did you?
A accept your tacit admission that you were full of it when you said the article had anything that was “made up.” A step in the right direction. I’ve done my Stingtalk good deed of the week.

You can spin it that way all ya want my dude. Whatever makes you feel like you didn't make a silly assertion/comment and are now trying to claim an e-victory to save face, lol.

Chin up slugger, it happens!

I wanted to start another thread about uga
IMG_0098.jpeg

Last night I had a dream that we beat U[siC]GA in the first game of the season. It was pretty great.

It’s gone perfect. We’ve helped identify the uga apologists amongst us. The AJC released a journalist who wants to go after uga. That’ll never happen while employed at the ajc. He can dig in at his next stop.
EVERYTHING IS GOING AS PLANNED

So you're saying Alan Judd is playing 3D Underwater Chess with ole Bowl Cut Kirbs, Ugag & the AJC.........I can dig it. Well played Mr. Judd, well played indeed!

I respect what Kirby has built program wise on the field & can respect the success they've had recently ...
& have been a fan since the early 90s when my dad took me to see us play Duke back when we still had that awful looking astro-turf field, lol.

Our fake grass field still has looked like hammered öööö
And how can you respect how Kirby has built that program? Dude is an accessory to an untold number of criminal malfeasances due to the kind of character he brings to an already morally bankrupt organization.
Or does anybody need to replay what was purported to be his pregame speech before the recent NC game?
Screw him. Screw his hair cut. Screw his two championships. He called out Mephistopheles at a country crossroads at midnight and the comeuppance waiting for him will show that.

Oh, still going, I see. Let me actually answer your dumb question, then.

The best word to use to describe something as unverifiable is “unverifiable.” You definitely shouldn’t use a different word or phrase that means something completely different, like “made up.”

E-victory still secure.

Thanks for proving my point yet again. You have an uncanny ability fella. Have a beer for the e-victory tonight lol, you certainly seem to need it.....

Nothing compares to the astroturf stuff of the 90s lol, it was unsightly. Not just for us, but everywhere, though it fit the times accordingly.

Well, like Judd, you're running with unsupported allegations, which has been hashed out here many posts over. From strictly a football perspective for success on the field, one can respect what he's done after Richt, but still hold contempt for what has come out and obvious patterns of behavior from his players. Those are not mutually exclusive beliefs no matter how much people want to marry the 2 together. I also do not think it's fair to expect a coach or coaching staff to know the whereabouts and behavior of 85+ football players at all times of their lives off the field. Some accountability has to be placed at the feet of the athlete. They know right from wrong at that age.

Coaches cuss. That's part of sports. Anyone here who grew up playing highly competitive sports (I played football, hockey, soccer and baseball) will tell you that. My high school football coach made Kirby out to be a saint as far as language at half time goes, lol. If he wasn't dropping F-bombs at us, something was wrong.....

I agree his hair is awful, his visor looks dumb & his game-day pleated khakis look silly, but as far as his comeuppance, who knows, lol....

Every team is accused of “selling their soul” to win a Natty lately. Our society is nothing but a big “gotcha” movement these days and sports fans and sports media are certainly in lock step with that mindset. Looking over a list of Natty’s I’d have to go back to Tennessee in 1998 to think of a team that everyone didn’t pile on.

UGA, Bama, LSU, Clemson, Auburn, Oklahoma, Texas, Ohio State, USC, FSU have all been accused of “selling their soul” to bring in illiterates, buy players, or just have thugs on their team. From Dabo to Kirby to Reggie Bush to Cam to Saban to Stoops to Meyer to crab legs, everyone wants to act pure as the fallen snow and then when their team wins it’s because of grit, coaching, and hard work.

Bottom line is most here are just butt hurt that UGA finally made the right hire of the right guy at the right time who has built them into a powerhouse. And instead of taking them head on in the arena we point to speeding tickets and drunk college kids. I for one am looking forward to the day when we get enough 4 and 5 stars who win enough games that the AJC or media try to tear us down. It’s funny how when you win 3 games nobody digs into your program.

Ugag has never been short of talent, we all know this. Kirby told the school if you want to be like Bama, then you better open your wallet like bama. Coaching has nothing to do with their success, whatsoever. Kirby is a cheerleader who can recruit but that's about it and frankly, that's all he will ever need to do while he is there.

Richt recruited good to very good. Kirby has elevated that. The rankings and roster make up show that & can be easily verifiable. The 2 main areas Kirby has elevated their recruiting the most and its the 2 areas where we have struggled badly (though doing a tad better now) is the OL & DL. Football will always be a game of the "trenches" & if you sprinkle in good to elite QB play with a solid WR and or RB on top of elite OL play, you're going to be very good. Defensively, if your DL can control the LOS and you can win the battle in your base defense, you're going to play complimentary football and play for titles.

I don't know if CBK can get those type of studs, but he will recruit at a good enough level and will coach fundamentals better than we have seen in a long time. We will be competitive with most teams including Clemson and UGA, we just don't have the depth of those 2 teams yet, but CBK is getting us there.

Kirby is not a Xs and Os guru despite what their fans think, but he has surrounded himself with very young, elite recruiters who have been good at developing the talent he gets. He has Muschamp on his defensive staff. Not many teams can boast that type of hire on O or D. That's like a unicorn hire, lol.

I'm not questioning their success, it's obvious. I just laugh at their fans thinking that Kirby is some genius lol. He's like a kid in a candy store, he's been given access to college football's largest bank, and he knows it. All he really has to do is show up with his little bowl of popcorn and watch the show. That's a fact.

PS, Richt was a good recruiter but not like Kirby.

I don't disagree at all with that. That's why assistant hire are just as important as a HC hire. Dabo is the same way. He is a goofy doofus "golly great shucks almighty" when a microphone is in his face, lol. Dude hasn't had 1 soundbite that makes you think "man, he knows his stuff" but rather rah rah rag cheerleader type. He simply made great hires at OC and DC, got a few elite players to buy into the Holy Dabo Cult nonsense and they won 2 titles. His hires also stuck around a loooooooong time which is rare.

I've had 2 recruits I knew personally though family friendships, both OL, that were recruited by Dabo, Richt & Kirby, give us the run down on how each ran their programs. One signed with Ugag but has since transferred under Kirby, the other went to Auburn when Dabo & Richt recruited him.

Dabo: full of öööö, easy to tell he's a fraud and the whole "family & christ" narrative is forced and not genuine. Felt like a charade display around the program where everyone knew their role to play

Richt: personable, christ driven which was genuine, but not focused much on the football aspect. Felt like a country club atmosphere.

Kirby: business like with a personable side. Everything is regimented & structured. Pushes NFL $$$ & development as a selling point.

I believe CBK is a mix of Richt & Kirby. You can tell he is very structured and detailed in his coaching and our team played like it when he took over, but he also has the personable side to him that kids gravitate towards. I was skeptical of his permanent hiring as HC but the more I see and hear about the program, I believe he is the right man for our program. He is a Tech guy 100% just as Kirby is a Ugag guy 100%.
