AB enters the transfer portal

I really like AB and it hurts that he is leaving BUT I didn't see anything that he was like Percy Harvin. He has very good college speed. I don't see that he has ELITE speed or running ability (breaking tackles). He didn't look that way the few times he returned kicks.

I think he was ELITE at running routes and getting separation. Those are important skills.

He is also a little small so I was always worried about him getting hurt.

You didn’t think AB had/has ELITE speed?

seriously??

Back to the OP, I hope KQ is correct and not CNJ. But, I will say this, knowing a fair amount of the human psyche, when a young person is away from home, gets hurt, feels alone, he starts to have a desire to return home, ie homesick. Maybe the idea being pushed by KQ, has more to do with AB than his family. I could see that. At least I hope that's more of the reason than butthurt feelings of little to no playing time.

You might want to go back to last year and review his Calvin-Johnson-tieing 7 TD receptions. AB is not only fast but his route running is exceptional.

I really hate to see him go. I recall we flipped him from Maryland and assume that is where he will end up.

I said all of that. Maybe I'm wrong about his speed.

We likely just have a SLIGHTLY different idea of ELITE. Percy Harvin was elite. 4.2 is elite. I'm not sure Brown is quite that fast.

Just to be clear, he is plenty fast enough to be a very good college WR; I'm upset that he is leaving but wish him the best.

I'll admit that I was also wrong about his speed. Initially. But its important to understand that while speed is nice to have, speed doesn't create separation between receivers and DBs - route running does. AB has both which potentially makes him elite at the position.

Is he like Raghib Ismail?

Trevor lawerence, Justin fields, kyle Trask, etc. didn’t start freshman year
They all had proven, system appropriate guys ahead of them. Not the case here and please don't mention James Graham. Graham had a crappy completion percentage but did have nice deep ball touch. You can't win many games if your QB is only really affective if he can hit a burner deep. Defenses will sit back and dare your to beat them with the run or underneath and intermediate passing, which was not Graham's strength.

You hope KQ is correct and not CNJ? :lol2: The idea being pushed by KQ?:lol2:

C'mon man.......and shut your boy up already. According to him Graham was better than JoeHam and Brown was Percy Harvin. This is embarrassing

He seemed greatful to coach Collins, Dixon, & Choice in his farewell. Couldn't help but notice he didn't mention Patenaude; but I guess that doesn't necessarily mean anything...maybe he couldn't remember how to spell it.

IRC, CGC and Choice were his main recruiters, and Dixon is/was his position coach.
