acc agreement

Clemson and FSU to the Big12. UNC to????

GT to BIG10.

JJacket will probably be out of watching CFB by then.
I love CFB. I want to watch Georgia Tech be at the top. Let’s not forget that once seasons start we all love this thing. These off season shitstorms make us all think that.

Also, please don’t leave us JJ. We need every fan we can get. What the hell are we supposed to do watch the NFL?

Yep. And Tech football ended in the 80s just like they predicted!

Bet the ACC didn't want the crap that would've been found in discovery to be made public.

Shit league with writing on the wall. If gt can get into the big ten good riddance

Sounds like we should know what the super league will be in the next couple years. Hopefully we are included.

If not, we had a pretty damn good run for a nerd school. Let's finally get a win over U[sic]GA at home three years from now to close it out.

I think Tech will benefit from this more than anybody thinks. Tech has a strong national brand and plays a much more attractive out of conference schedule than any other ACC team. With the football and basketball programs improving, all those factors will be magnified.

I don't think the Big 10 or the SEC will ever want FSU or Clemson. It is much more likely the Big 10 will want Tech. Go Jackets!

Just leave all your TVs on at home on the game; go to the game and stream the game on the phone while sitting in the stadium

I remember when George P Burdell won the Time Person of the Year voting by like 50,000% more than the 2nd place votes (W if I recall). And every time you refreshed the page he got 50 more votes.

We need to be Tech here.

This is what I was thinking, surely you engineer folks on here can find a way to game this system

per ESPN:

"Georgia Tech was actually the ACC's highest-rated program in 2024."

"This new revenue-distribution model -- or "brand initiative" -- is based on a five-year rolling average of TV ratings."

This was the only reasonable thing to do and coincidentally the thing that would have helped us the most. You can’t be just handing out guaranteed money to FSU/Clemson. Has to be performance-based. And while this isn’t entirely performance-based, people will stop watching FSU if they continue to be dogshit and their payout will drop.

The tough part of this is how much is based on what channels you end up on. Like ESPN essentially decides the ACC payouts now, correct? The AAs of the minnows are gonna be living and dying with the station/kickoff time pushes every Sunday.

We're averaging in a few years of being terrible with that former guy in that backward view - his impact still negatively impacts our program...

We'll get the benefit of top TV ratings in 2024 for the next 4 years.

Separately, I predict SMU will be galloping to the top quartile very quickly.
