ACC Schools that are Pro Expansion for Stanford & Cal

I wonder if the SEC would take Tech to keep the Big 10 out of Atlanta?

As far as the Big 10...... Most of their good players come from the south. They are already here. Their TV partners aren't going to give them more money because they add Tech. Cable fees are becoming a thing of the past... so what drove the last movement in realignment isn't what is driving this one. The big bucks are going to come with the new CFP deal. The SEC and the Big 10 are both well positioned for that deal without adding any more teams other than Clemson and FSU. If you got Clemson and FSU away from the ACC....pretty much every school that has sniffed the CFP is in one of the two conferences. There are outliers but only on a random basis.

Another nugget I just read.....Notre Dame has won 28 straight games against ACC schools. They haven't been beaten since 2017.

They don't need us.

I’m pretty sure Clemson beat them in the 2020 ACC title game

From all the smoke & mirrors rumors the only ACC programs the SEC is interested in are FSU, Clemson and 2 of VT, UNC and NCSU. I don’t think Sankey is too concerned about GT going to the B1G. The Atlanta TV market is already UGA dominated with Tech #2 followed by all the transplants fans from there.

tOSU, Michigan recruit Georgia heavily now and have had great success landing elite talent. Brands are brands at this point. A TV market with the saturation of CFB every game day across 12+ channels from 11 am til 2 am really doesn’t have the impact it did even 15 years ago. Every game can be watched from wherever you live.

We sniffed the CFP

winning changes things and perception. Winning certainly can’t hurt us.
Winning is the key. OU and UTA fans are fixing to find this out just like TAMU did: to beat the SEC blue bloods you have to beat the 12th man, the one in the striped shirt.
