I like the kid. Good pickup.
That doesn't sound too confident, however.
That's not a commitment. What the hell is wrong with people these days?

Taste the soup.
As much as I like getting in-state players to come to Tech, at the end, it's just getting the best players possible to fit all the needs, winning on the field and winning in the classroom. If Tech has to hit out of state harder to do that, so be it.
If our team is made up entirely of players from Uzbekistan, Outer Mongolia and other foreign places like Ludowici, so long as we beat the living crap out of the ACC and smack the Doggies around, I'm OK with it.
???
Not sure where you get me not liking an out of state commit. I been trying to figure out why we haven't had a bigger presence in SC. A lot of talent there that Clemson and SC skim over. If Joe can build a pipeline for GT in that Lowcountry area that would be money

You want him running around with his eyes closed?

Remember, Vad was saying stuff like this throughout his senior season. It might be a way of helping teammates get looks.
I bet he decommits ..
Please understand that Carvell is paid to write articles that people will read and then talk about. His questions will first involve why the kid chose Tech. They will then involve his recruitment from other schools. On higher profile recruits Carvell tends to push the envelope in order to get the kid to say something controversial. I'm not saying he's a bad guy but any time a reporter doesn't print the questions asked (which is most articles these days) I take it with a grain of salt. It's entirely possible that Carvell asked Kinlaw, "Well what if Alabama and LSU come calling." Then the kid responds and it's taken out of context.

It was foolish to name this thread "Actual" #14. Nothing is actual until signing day. Maybe #14.2.
There is and only ever will be one actual #14.
