The more I think about it, I would have rather it been named Hyundai Stadium at Historic Grant Field
Uh, no.

Negative. Bobby Dodd is much more prestigious than Grant. The Grant name was also only applied originally because of a donation. The more I think about it, I would have rather it been named Hyundai Stadium at Historic Grant Field
We did the reverse approach with Alexander Memorial Coliseum.Negative. Bobby Dodd is much more prestigious than Grant. The Grant name was also only applied originally because of a donation.

That's because the McCamish family donated $15M specifically to renovate the colliseum. We did the reverse approach with Alexander Memorial Coliseum.
Someone needs to pay to remove John Lewis’ name from campus then. That's because the McCamish family donated $15M specifically to renovate the colliseum.

I gathered from other postst that the Lexus had been there for some time, but I never noticed it until last Saturday. The Lexus was there last year at least. The Hyundai in the SE corner was put there last week.
I saw that last weekend on the renovated student center.. Why did that happen!? I know he was a Civil Rights leader but he had nothing to do with GT as far as I know.
As far as I can tell, we were looking for a name for the renovated student center right around the time Lewis died and the George Floyd/BLM mania was at its peak, so that’s where the culture tide carried us.

We also have the Newbomb Turk memorial libraryAnd for some reason we have the John Lewis Student Center now, named after a guy with no affiliation with GT at all…
