I would love this but I stopped getting my hopes up for our bowl games a long time ago. If we end the season with less than 9 wins, we almost always end up in an obscure bowl game against a non-P4 opponent or a “meh” P4 opponent. Would love to be wrong this time but I’ll believe it when I see it.

Hope you’re right. I remember in 2005, we had seven wins, beat Clemson, Miami (#3 in the country at the time) and Auburn, lost to uga by 7, and wound up playing Utah (before they were a P4 team) in the Emerald Bowl.

Urban Meyer left Utah the year before. Definitely a rising program at the time.

I was at that 2005 emerald bowl. drove up from LA. a hole in muffler had carpet smoking which took part of our only case of beer to put out.
rough trip as midas muffler broke my windshield during the repair(and refused to fix). Still a special event as i was able to take my son to a GT game.
