Bowl Projection

We need to pursue the Big 10 as soon as the GOR issue is resolved. The ACC will always be dominated by the Carolina and Virginia teams.
I know Coach runs to team to treat every game as equal, don't focus on anything but what is at hand, etc., but potentially changing the course of the program forever seems like a big motivation to drop on them. Start making racket in playoffs and they can do that.

Easy one day drive. We should buy 10 each and take anyone that will go. If you want to change the future it’s time to start.

Sidenote… Brent should know this game can lose our momentum. Sort of the type game we typically lose. Guys need to take their frustration out from the last game in this game.

THERE ARE SEVERAL REASONS WHY GEORGIA TECH URGES FANS TO PURCHASE BOWL TICKETS FROM THE GTAA TICKET OFFICE, RATHER THAN DIRECTLY FROM THE BOWL OR SECONDARY MARKET:

  • Tickets purchased through the Georgia Tech ticket office is the only way to officially “count” the number of fans that travel to support the Yellow Jackets at a bowl game. That documented support is a leading factor when bowls are making their selections. Therefore, future bowl locations will be influenced by the number of tickets that are purchased directly from Georgia Tech this year.
  • Purchasing tickets through Georgia Tech is the only way to guarantee being seated in a block with other Yellow Jackets fans.

So big question. Do we play HK or let him rest up and get surgery and start Philo instead?

They say this every year, yet we consistently get screwed when it comes to bowl assignments.

GTAA will have mediocre tickets.

I feel like he is going to navigate us out of this crap conference. With our viewership, hopefully SEC but B1G would be an upgrade
WTF are you smoking?
What viewership? There ain't that many Tech fans. We drove ratings because 1), it was undefeated Miami, and 2) it was ööööing Georgia on a night with no other football.
What were our numbers like for our other games, including Notre Dame? Even the Hawks sell out State Farm when LeBron comes to town.
SEC doesn't want or need us. Same with Big 10.
We need to find a way to have the ACC make itself better and quit being a punching bag.
This whole we need to join the SEC or the Big 10 delusion is some sort of LSD-fed fever dream.
If - and frankly, that's a goddamn huge if, because the probability of that happening is Ariana Grande slim - yeah, sure entertain that notion.
But there ain't shit on the table from the SECheat or the Big 10. In the meantime, make what we're in better so if that day comes, we're a more attractive option.

Dumbest take yet. It is 1.5 hour drive from Vandy to B'ham down I-65 & 1.5 hour drive from GT to B'ham across I-20. If that bowl isn't a sellout then we clearly don't deserve a better bowl.
This somewhat underscores the dumbassery of the bowl committee’s decision. Ultimately you want teams that travel well, but are at least 1/2 a day’s drive away. This is a complete fail on B’ham’s part to book flights, rent cars, and fill hotel rooms & restaurants.

The ACC screwed FSU by not getting out in front of the Travis injury and the playoff committee. If our biggest name program gets screwed, it’s only natural the conference also gets us when it can. It’ll never change and there is nothing we can do about it.

We really need to win this bowl
I hope somebody explains this to team and they buy in
