I think you're trying too hard to find something that isn't there. He is associating success with BCS bowls. Given the choice, if we are in the playoffs, the Orange would be my choice. Followed by Rose.

Coach had a couple really great 3 loss seasons that were fun. One was even a championship season. To act like those were somehow unprecedented is full retart

I think we had an identity under Ross then we lost it. Then O'Leary and company started to re-establish it and then we lost it again. Then CPJ and company established an identity. CPJ and his staff did a lot of amazing things here that I will always appreciate. He and his teams have given me some of the best memories of GT football and nothing will ever change that. Winning an Orange Bowl (against a current NFL starting QB), beating UGA 3 times, and so many others are worthy of respect. There should be no reason people can't accept CPJ's legacy in a positive light here at GT. And wrap all of it up with the fact that he did it in a clean way and made sure our academic progress was upheld and brought in quality young men and, in my opinion, was a very classy representative of GT (I know some thought he was gruff or snarky... and yes he was both of those, but he has been an honest and classy person).
Now I hope that CGC can take that reputation for doing things the right way and expand upon where CPJ has left us. I have hopes that he can and will always be grateful to CPJ.

But, as far as I know, they did not design them.
I honestly don’t know what influence CPJ, or the players, had in designing our first freak unis in 2008.

To be honest - I doubt it.
I have no idea of all the inner workings, but on the surface I think TStan rolled over for whatever crap Adidas brought to the table with the all u can eat chick fil a sandwiches.
The emphasis supposedly put on a New Tech Gold was the greatest slight of hand since Houdini.
I think our great logo will not be a constant on our helmets, and we will see the words”Tech” somehow spelled out on the hats, or the buzz logo, or a semblance of the Rambling Wreck.
But I might trade all that for top 20 classes.
