Bowling Green, what do we know?

Good hockey program. Ken Morrow (on the U.S. gold medal team in 80) played there, as did Dave Ellett, who was on the 93 Leafs team that got robbed against Gretzky's Kings. Still pissed about that. God that 93 Leafs team was fun to watch.

Not to be confused with Bowling Green, Kentucky, home to Western Kentucky and the Bowling Green Purples (that's the high school. I know this because I got dragged to the Kentucky state high school football championships one year. They play them before Thanksgiving, so I saw Bowling Green vs. Covington Catholic and Boone County vs. Louisville-Trinity in Shawn Alexander's last high school game. Also went to the Kentucky Sweet 16 at Corrupt Arena and that was balls).
So I know far too much about Bowling Green, Kentucky, and not much about Bowling Green, Ohio.
Do know BGSU just got housed by Ohio this past weekend. So there's that.
I bet there is a lot of meth in Bowling Green, Ohio.

I've never seen lawn bowling and I don't know how it works, but this looks oddly familiar.

Even I could find my golf ball there..
must be a bear to get those pins to stand up on grass especially if its the plastic ones

BG's starting QB, Connor Bazelak, is a 2x transfer (Mizzou -> Indiana, Indiana -> Bowling Green). He's thrown 3 TDs and 5 INTs this season. The 3 TDs were all against Eastern Illinois (FCS). He's played 1 full game so far (vs Ohio U - 0 TDs, 2 INTs). Hasn't thrown a TD against an FBS opponent.

BG played 3 QBs in first four games, combining for 4 TDs and 9 INTs. 2nd QB Camden Orth threw BG's only TD pass against an FBS opponent (Liberty). Receiver caught a screen at LOS and ran 32 yds after catch for a TD.

Liberty intercepted BG 5 times in season opener, one returned 36 yds for a TD.

BG blocked a FG against Liberty and returned it for a TD.

Eastern Illinois faked a punt against BG for a 23 yd gain and 1st down.

BG was +1 in turnover margin against Michigan and lost 31-6 (got 4, gave up 3). BG made 3 INTs and recovered a fumble on a Michigan kick return. They threw 2 INTs and the QB fumbled while being sacked.

BG has had negative turnover margin in every game but Michigan. They were -4 last week (2 INT, 2 fumbles)

Their last game was a 38-7 home loss to Ohio U. Ohio led 38-0 going into 4th qtr.

CBS currently ranks BG 125th of 133 FBS teams (we're currently 54th).

They got my attention with a good first half at Michigan, down 13-7. I think it ended up 34-7.

What I know is we’re not in a position to look down on any team on our schedule. There’s a lot to clean up from last game still, we’re not good yet but we show glimpses of greatness. Let’s play hard all 4 quarters, not lose anyone to injury and look and play like the complete package.

This. We should win but, if the last few years have taught me anything, we could also lose it.

Whatever you do, don't pick us to cover. The line will be ridiculous, and I'm sure half of our practice periods will be devoted to Miami. Look ahead game, for sure.
I hope we are looking ahead enough to get better this game in the red zone, running at the edges and letting the D attack the ball like last week.

I would think that....if it weren't for how damn good King, the OL, and skill players are playing on offense.

I'm struggling to find any meaning to this game

Let's just play the 2nd and 3rd string not show Miami anything and who cares if we lose?

No conference implications really and if we need that game for a bowl it's a öööö bowl anyway

that really narrows it down...way to put yourself out there.

GT rolls, Pyron plays last 1.5 quarters and solidifies the backup QB as the most popular player on the team.

Michigan has played East Carolina, UNLV, Bowling Green, and Rutgers. You think they are looking for meaning right now? They are #2. We could very well be 4-0 with that schedule.

The #2 team in the country didn’t blow them out; so hard for me to believe we will. Feels like a 35-17 type game

Most difficult game the #2 team has played is Rutgers. Michigan is gonna lose a few games
