Bowling!

We could do worse than the Sun Bowl vs Cal from a weather and recruiting standpoint. From an attendance angle, we really need to stay in the SE, which would also have a recruiting plus. A matchup with Auburn would be ideal on many levels. My bet is the Sun is most likely.

Need to win seven games a season to get your wish! (Gator, Duke's Pop Tarts) as far as playing in a Tier 2 bowl before christmas while may help a few fans and alumni travel, is really crappy for SA (they lose out on gifts and quality experience)... Who really cares about pre christmas bowl games???

Good point, we wouldn't want to do anything to help fans and alumni. Who really cares about the Fenway bowl? I honestly did not know it even existed until this thread.

Auburn is in Music City Bowl... Sun Bowl is not even considering GT... Our Options are Pinstripe vs P5, Fenway vs G5, or Tier 2 bowl.... The best thing is the Jackets are Bowl eligible for the first time since 2018.

GT will have 5-10K travel no matter the destination, see the data,,,, Sun Bowl could be an option, however TV ratings have been so bad that the Sun Bowl would rather take VT, DUKE, or BC over GT if Miami goes to Pinstripe... So if you choose not to travel, please watch the bowl game and encourage others to watch so we can get the Sun Bowl back as an option since you hate baseball stadiums... FWIWW The Big10/Big12 have a bowl game in a baseball stadium...

Fox Sports recently seems to think they do...FWIW.

At this point, I don't care which bowl we go to. I just care about one thing.

Is City Slickers America's favorite movie? You be the judge: | Movie/TV ...

There hasn't been any data since 2018, your point is moot.

If you watch the below message dated Nov 29th 2023 from Sun Bowl Executive Director Bernie Olivas he states the teams from both PAC12 & ACC they are selecting from. Any chance that the Fox bowl projections were before Mr. Olivas tweet?

PAC12: USC or Oregon St
ACC: Miami, VT, Duke, and possibly BC

Why GT to Pinstripe:

BC in the Fenway Bowl makes perfect sense. Should but won’t be a sellout.

GT-Rutgers Pinstripe Bowl is all but done. You would think it would be close to a full stadium as well even though it’s a 2:30 pm Thursday game. You would think Rutgers fans would fill the seats.

To be fair if we beat Bowling Green or Louisville we are in the Gator or Duke's Mayo. Want a better destination we need to start winning 7 plus games a season.
Regardless of record, Duke’s Mayo Bowl in Charlotte will always take any of UNC, Duke, NCSU, Wake, VT or Clemson over any other ACC school due to location. Overall I know selling tickets doesn’t matter as much anymore since all bowl games get $$$ from TV, but of course the bowl reps want local representation to get more fans in the seats.

Pinstripe Bowl is a good spot for GT this year.

100% Agree This would set up the second ever matchup between the two programs as the first came back in 1921 where Georgia Tech went on to win 48-14.

It was today live, but that doesn't mean FSN knows much.

Who really cares about pre christmas bowl game in Tampa/Dallas or Birmingham??? Again if that is were we land, hopefully GT brings 20K, but data doesn't support that... GT has 5-10K travel to bowl games.

Depends on location. For drivable bowls, I haven’t seen anyone out draw us more than 55/45 and we quite often outdraw the opponent.
