Bowls, CFP, and other Disappointing Games Thread

I'm sure the color analyst is a dumdum. However...

- Go down at the 1. 1st and Goal at the 1, ~20 seconds left.
- Clock resumes once ball is set and ref signals to start clock. Penn State burns 1st timeout.
- Take knee. Penn State burns 2nd timeout. 2nd and Goal.
- Take knee. Penn State burns 3rd timeout. 3rd and Goal.
- Take knee. 4th and Goal.
- Run clock down to 2 seconds, call timeout.
- Kick game-winning FG as time expires.

Am I missing something? I think that's riskier because college kicking game isn't as reliable, but it seems rational at least.

Two similar situations I seen play out with Tech over the years.

1. uga had the ball. CPJ told our defense to let them score a td so we could get the ball back with a chance to tie. I think they were closer in and there was more time (but still not much). Richt said after the game they should have taken the knee before scoring, so same thinking.

2. Under GOL, we had the ball and a chance to win. GOL saved the TO and kicked on third down. It was a good thing too, since we bumbled the snap and the holder fell on the ball. We call TO and kick for the win on 4th down.
