Bowls, CFP, and other Disappointing Games Thread

For anyone who thinks the CFP expanding to 12 was a mistake……Time to admit how wrong you are.

The round of 12 games were all garbage...

And your point is? That was also due to incorrect seeding.

Had it been a CFP Final 4, it would have been:

1. Oregon - Crushed by tOSU.
2. UGA - Controlled by ND.
3. Texas - Ref aided win over ASU.
4. PSU - Easiest path to the Semifinals. Just lost to ND.

So the likely MNC tOSU and opponent ND would have missed the CFP.

But yep…..CFP 4 team Playoff would have been great…….

In a 24-24 game with 29 seconds left the expert color analyst in a national semifinal game said that if a run broke open for a TD the back should fall down intentionally so they could win with a FG with no time left on the clock. So, he would rather be tied with 20 seconds with the ball in the red zone than up 31-24 with 20 seconds left. Not to mention, the opponent had their timeouts left. How do these guys get these jobs?

You’re forgetting he also won a MNC while playing QB at Bama’ under Nick. I thought the same thing. You’re 100% correct. Just score the damn TD if possible. Duke tried that same thing against SMU at the end of regulation and missed the gimme FG. Didn’t end well for them a few OT’s later.
