Butch Jones ded

Upper North mafia represent.

Plus, I can pee from the very top of the upper north deck and it is so far up there, above our stadium lights, that the pee totally dissipates by the time it reaches ground level. Y'all come try it sometime.

If I were hiring this year I would go to Mike Houston from James Madison and let him bring a lot of his staff. He is from western NC and played at Mars Hill, so he knows the mountain culture and would fit in well at Knoxville. He won at Lenoir-Rhyne, The Citadel, and now wins big at JMU. He would not be a sexy hire, but a solid hire. That is why UT probably won’t do it.

Funny how Jones gets fired for a shitty W/L record at the end and not for covering up for the rapists that were on the team and blackballing the player that assisted the victims. Tennessee needs to clean house totally. I include even keeping Fat Phil away, since there is a trophy named after him for criminal activity in a program.

I would consider donating to UT to make this happen.
I attend a UT game almost every year. Of course, I attended the GT / UT game this season. That place would rock with Leach as coach. Tennessee used to have an exciting group of WR's in years past. It would be awesome to see them retake the east - with Florida on their heels. I'd love to see UGAg have to battle it out for 3rd and 4th place in the east with USuCk

I'm sure Butch Davis is a nice guy but why are some of us obsessed with the job security of a loser coach of a loser program in a loser conference?
Because if UGA gets to waltz through the joke known as the SEC East every year they will eventually luck into a MNC.

Not to mention idiots flying car flags on Tuesday. I blame UT and UF for making me see that abomination.

If I was AD, I would listen to you.

You can easily afford to double every salary on the JMU staff, which almost surely gets you the whole proven crew.

What is this "mountain culture" of which you speak? And why do you think Knoxville is part of it?

Knoxville isn't a bad place as long as you take the proper precautions and get thoroughly checked the week after

No offense intended. Knoxville is a great city in East Tennessee. While the Vols are loved all over the state, their most rabid fan base is in East Tennessee and even into Western Carolina and the Bristol, Va area. There is a culture of Vol nation very different from other places. Lane Kiffin did not fit well, and I am not sure Butch Jones did either. I think Houston has the background to understand and appreciate the setting and culture of Tennessee football, which would be a plus in recruiting and in relating to fans.

Knoxville pisses me off. It’s always a motherööööing traffic jam at Turkey Creek. It fucks me up everytime I’m trying to get to Chattanooga or Birmingham. Maybe they’ll have their traffic problems fixed in time for the World’s Fair.

I just live in the area, not from here. Other than a few big donors, these aren't the folks that are filling Neyland Stadium and buying UT gear. They're like Dawg fans in Albany. I don't see that the UT AA needs to try to appease this fan base. No coach is going to last long anyhow given the delusions of grandeur among all the Vol faithful.

I can't tell if it is sarcasm or not, but Kiffin is receiving votes on VolNation. That would be hilarious.

Isnt his wife gone now? She always walked around Knoxville like she was horrified by the smell and afraid to touch anything. Perhaps he does a better job with her gone.

Kiffin looks like he fell into a fairly deep bout of depression. His overweight, under-enthusiastic FAU promo video wasn't a good look. I hope he comes around.
