C J Jackson decommitted?

Yeah, I agree not a commit until the ink is dry. That being said I do not want any kids in the program not fully committed to getting GT back in the championship conversation!

So you think GT going out and adding a more athlete friendly degree is going to somehow hurt the reputation or diminish the overall value of GT degree? Let’s not go down the rabbit hole of excuses on why it won’t happen, just ask yourself the question. Would it somehow hurt GT’s academic reputation?

I know GT is different from most P5 schools related to the financial impact of football. LSU for example is raking in the $$$ from an athletics standpoint, while the school itself from an academic standpoint is broke. GT is the opposite, which is great for the school itself and the overall purpose. Education.

Are we talking about adding easy degree programs, making currently degree programs easier, or both? I don't think you can make admission to current degree programs (think the degrees our athletes trend towards) acceptance easier, and make it easier to stay in said degree programs, without hurting the reputation of those degrees.

You would think that there is a Tech billionaire that cares about fb out there who could help with NIL

I find the “nobody cares about education” statement to be disingenuous. We don’t care about education and we want players who can play football so we can hang with the likes of uga, Clemson and fsu. I’m watching Cornell vs Harvard on ESPN 2 right now and I see a lot of players who care about education. We don’t want that. We just don’t want to adapt to the changing landscape and then complain about how we can’t sell studs who have NFL on their mind on a 4 year degree. Come on man.
NIL > Education these days. We're in a tough spot.
