Call with AT Fund Rep

I would say upgrading the west should be top priority, and I don't even sit there. It is still living with a 1970's vibe. It is crowded. Difficult to navigate or get concessions.

Not sure about the upper west. Last time I sat there was the 2002-ish season? Same season we beat the Julius Peppers UNC team.
Yep, we have been saying: “can’t do that for 25 years now”. Are we still saying that in another 25?

I've never understood why our club seats are always behind the opponent's sideline. It would make so much more sense if they were behind ours. I sat in the club seats for the BC game in 2021 and there were more BC fans there then GT fans.
West stands seat more i assume, otherwise could just get team to switch sidelines

I have serious doubts that there are lots of people who would love to come to a game if only there were better amenities. I do believe that current fans and attendees want better amenities however I question whether they are willing to pay for them.

If the stadium were reseated by AA points it would be interesting to see how many of those in the club section could remain. I think some and maybe many bought into the club section when it was grossly overpriced for all but corporate ticket holders.

I moved from LW to UN because of the clown and kids activities and it's actually nice up there and I have no plans on moving. I'll just donate a little money when I'm happy with the direction of the program.

I think the biggest upgrade in amenities that the stadium could have would be some sort of awning that provided relief from the sun... Like what they have at Truist field or in the Miami stadium. It could be as simple as some supports with canvas tarps that could be put up for noon games and taken down for night games. People bitch more about the heat and sun than anything else.

Depends on the amenities. Let's say a bridge is built to the Cheetah directly from BDS and there is no cover charge.

It's a stupid excuse. Add a couple of damn elevators for access. Also can't you just increase ADA compliant seating in other areas if it's so damn hard to do in the west stands?

Yep. Lower West are the best selling tickets in the whole place, judging by percent filled. What's the ROI for upgrading them?

*DING DING DING*

This is where the ROI would be. In particular, for the upper East. Those would instantly become the best seats in the house for actually watching the game and they could charge an appropriate premium for that.

Thanks for sharing! My rep had said some of the same things too about our season ticket population. In re-watching an interview prior to the UNC game with JBatt on the ACC Network, I think he did say something about having another fundraising event because funds had been raised so quickly the first time. I think many people are waiting for the program to show some success before they start 're-investing' into our program in time and money. I'm not a gazillionaire but I have bought my FB tickets non-stop since 98'. Some years are harder than others but I always try and make that a top 5 commitment financially. The game last weekend makes it all worth it, being able to experience that with my sons and my elderly dad who while not an alumni, bleeds white and gold by putting my rear end through GT as an undergrad in the early 90s. If I come into a large sum of money, I'll definitely give to the Tech Way/NIL.
Bless you!

Sell The Varsity’s food in the Upper North and East stands where the visitor’s mostly sit.

Then put better concessions everywhere else.

It’s not seating and elevators, it’s the whole damn thing. You ever walked down the steep slopes to get into the bathrooms, for instance? Compliance over there is probably a tear down.

If the StingTalk section was behind our opponent’s bench, our winning % would go up noticeably.
years ago we were playing UNC (I think the infamous Vad Lee rain game) and a couple of stingtalkers heckled the tarhole coach and players so relentlessly that towards the end of the game they had Fedora and a couple of the players jawing back at them, awesome.

As long as we don’t end up like Vandy where they currently have construction in the end zone stands during the season, I’m all for this.
