Hard to really argue with that. If you don't blow through money like many pro athletes, the money gets academic after the first 10-20 million. The NFL work regiment isn't worth the fame for everybody.

WR's are probably less likely to get CTE than other positions, but there's that as well.

HOF? I don't think it is a sure thing. Lots of WRs put up similar or better numbers and not in.

I think he gets in, but relatively short period of dominance doesn't help. A few more 70+ catch, 1000 yd seasons would've made it a sure thing, first ballot.

I think the thing that he'll have over some of the other big numbers guys is that Megatron had a 3-4 year period where he was the most dominant WR in the game. Holt, Owens, Wayne, etc won't be able to say that.

Oh for sure. But i think so many wr are putting up hige numbers now that does it get lost? Those guys in the past played in a league where the d could hit u.

Then add in how bad his teams have been.

I think the fact that he played for the Lions will be taken into account and he'll get in. I agree that another few years would have helped, but I don't think HOF voting for football is as numbers-obsessed as baseball, and most will realize that his overall numbers would have been among the best if he had played til his mid-to-late thirties.

Dont get me wrong. He is a hof player in my eyes. I can just see the arguments making him borderline thats all.
