Agreed. No ill will towards him -- he was a mediocre coach who I was glad to move on from, but he certainly gave us some good memories (in addition to some bad ones...) and seems like a decent guy.

He wasn't a bad pro coach. The NFL has more to do with the front office and the HC. Respect him, but not as a college HC.

Lotta whiners here. 51-7 I'll never forget, three game losing streak in 06 I'll never forget, etc.

But we also had a number of really fun upsets in his tenure, including AU and Miami.

Happy to see him go but I don't understand the lingering animosity. He's no Bill Lewis for heavens sake.
