I would never buy a luxury car. Cars get you from point A to point B and carry whatever you need to transport between locations. If a car can do that for you 99.999% of the time, then it's met my criteria. Get the cheapest one that accomplishes those goals and spend the money on more enjoyable pursuits.

My first car in 1986 was a fastback Fiero GT. Loved it. Fun to drive, looked a little cool and exotic. Had a few problems with it over the years, but it was an RV putting me into the wall on the Connector that finally did it in.
