CGC is a marketing genius

Thought for a second that the athlete was like that UCF guy with half an arm
That athlete is Josh Downs who we are still very actively recruiting. Depending on how each of our seasons go, we could still have a shot with him.

Who is the Dbag on UNC's staff trying to be CGC??? :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

The Wal-Mart version

Reaching 6-7 wins this season would be a huge boon for the program if they are able to accomplish that coming off a complete transition and roster resetting. That season will be respectable all things considered and that with the new regime's ability to turn it up locally in recruiting will help us to get to a Top 30 class for sure this year and next and put us talent wise at a level that we can get competitive once again in the ACC because at end of the day it's currently wide open to take the reigns and at least be the premium program outside of Clemson. We will most likely loss a prospect or 2 thru the season as it happens but we perhaps will be able to steal 1 or 2 as well. Obviously seeing the Transfer Recruiting angle we are winning an competitive in that avenue would expect to be able to win some early commitments from other schools as well.

I feel pretty confident that Collins and staff will be able to assemble a productive defense more so then we've seen here in a long time based off their track records the one true question is how solid well the offense be over the next couple of seasons. If we get a offense that doesn't give up a ton of turnovers and can put up 24-30 points a game we could be in and win majority of our games outside of long-shots Georgia and full court shot Clemson this year.

If we can't average 24 points a game, we're going to be in big trouble. 80% of FBS schools put up at least 24 ppg last year, and we averaged almost 34.

I feel like Tobias O. Will be running the team.
I didn’t hear it that way. He emphasized that Tobias is an elite level athlete, which to me means he can contribute to the team in many ways. I could see him as a dual threat QB or potentially switching to one of several other positions.

Meh...a lot of fluff in that number. We laid 60+ points against total dumpster fires in Bowling Green and Louisville. We also were allowed to score meaningless touchdowns late against Clem and UGA in games where we were never competitive. I do think we need to average around 28 ppg... and also expect us to allow less points per possession than last season.

'Stats aren't relevant for us but they are for everyone else'? That's not the way statistics work.

Same. I think we'll see some packages specifically designed for TO to come in at QB, but if Johnson separates himself and becomes the clear QB1, we'll start to see TO in some other roles. Slot, APB, etc.

It’s common practice to control for outliers when reviewing statistics. Average is a öööö stat when outliers are not pulled out.

You're not wrong, but you’re not making a one to one comparison if you’re controlling our outliers but not the rest of the field. Are we the only team that had some blowout victories or scored some garbage time points?

Every team in P5 football plays cupcakes and that inflates stats.

Remember how much the SEC media/talking heads were touting the “big” weekend their teams had in Week 12 last year?

Huge numbers against UAB, UTChattanooga etc..

We had a top 15 offense last year. Obviously if that performance slips without improving the other two parts of the game it's going to be a long season.

We always had a pretty good offense. Combine that with the likely massive shift in TOP, and we're going to have to get used to seeing our defense on the field for a lot more snaps, even if the record were to improve.

I think TO may again have a run-heavy package, given his obvious quality as a tailback. I doubt he gets moved this year....too many unknowns. I think LJ or Graham give us a better chance to win. It may have to be Graham if we can't protect the QB.

I assume we all expect the other 2 areas to be improved under CGC. The question is will defense and special teams improvements offset the assumed offensive dip? Only time will tell...

Temple was 73 on offense and 37 on defense. We'll do really well to hit those figures.
