chernoff and Gailey exchanged strong words on 790

Remember Andy Hall? He transferred because he wasn't good enough to start, supposedly. He's not exactly Peyton Manning, but he was good enough to win a NC at Division II and play as a QB at the NFL level for a couple of seasons. And he is still playing Arena League.

Would we have been better with Hall instead of Suggs? Or would it have been better for Hall to transfer anyway?

I was under the impression that Hall left about one day into Chan's first practice on campus. Certainly never heard that Chan ever picked Suggs or Bilbo over him.

Huh? There have been quite a few teams with losing records to beat Georgia over Richt's tenure. Possibly not as many as over Gailey's tenure, but I don't think you'll find anyone arguing that UGA has been better than Tech over the last 7 years.

edit:
Now that I go back and really look, actually there's been damn few. That's what having 1 loss and 2 loss seasons can do for you. UGA has had some damn good teams over the past few years. Sheesh.
In Gailey's 5 loss equilibrium, there have been only two teams...4-8 BYU & 4-8 Duke, both in 03-04...with losing records to have beaten Tech. UNC was 6-6 in 04-05, every other team had a winning record.

So it's happened twice to us and once to UGA? Doesn't seem like such a big deal to me.

Hall was run out of town by O'Brian, who was instrumental in getting Suggs to transfer back to Tech from Tennessee since O'Brian recruited him heavily out of Mceachern.
