I’m pretty sure they stopped doing that a while ago. Tickets to COFH at BDS have been easy to come by for years.Hopefully a lot of mutts that typically buy season tickets in odd years still bought them without noticing the uga game wasn't included.
MBS is likely making $250 ticket net x 70,000 = 17.5mm - 10mm = 7.5mm, MBS has some risk of tickets not selling but unlikely.I'm not a fan of the Benz, but we're cash strapped. I get the decision. This is all back of the napkin math:
Last data I know of we had $10.1M in football ticket sales, I think it's up to about $12M now. That's about $1.7-$2.0M/game. Assuming the mutt game is 3x which is pretty ric assumption, that's $6M. Let's say we make $1M on everything else that's $7M.
Our base season ticket price is $390, that's $65/ea. 20k tix at $65/ea is $1.3M. Based on that an average game plus extra for mutts is 2 + 1.3, giving you $3.3M. Add in $1M parking and concessions, that's $4.3M.
We're likely clearing between $3-5M extra from playing the game at the Benz, likely closer to the $5M, roughly 40-50% extra of an average season's revenue by eating this deal.
The Falcons make $85M per season for 8 home games plus pre-season, approx $10M/game. I think we could match that but beating it by 70%, hmmm not sure about thatMBS is likely making $250 ticket net x 70,000 = 17.5mm - 10mm = 7.5mm, MBS has some risk of tickets not selling but unlikely.
Also must keep in mind Tech working on BDS so some value in not hosting game that week. I'm hinting at with Tech making $5MM then split the profits approach with MBS.
I'm guessing with back of envelope, so interesting that Falcons get $10mm a game. The Falcons make $85M per season for 8 home games plus pre-season, approx $10M/game. I think we could match that but beating it by 70%, hmmm not sure about that
When did you get your code? I select on an hour and still no code.Got a large block. Looking forward to seeing lots and lots of gold in the stands based on the sound of this thread![]()
Got mine at 9:00 this morning for 10:00 time. Check spam folder? When did you get your code? I select on an hour and still no code.
Mine came in just after 9. I had issues getting the code to work on my mobile device but desktop when much smoother.Got mine at 9:00 this morning for 10:00 time. Check spam folder?
I would have been MUCH happier paying a surcharge on that one game and keeping it at BDS. That game ALWAYs sells out or very close, so a $ 95 surcharge would have more than covered the difference we received out of the Benz deal? 95 x 55,000 =5.23M. I would have paid that without a second thought and come out way ahead.I'm not a fan of the Benz, but we're cash strapped. I get the decision. This is all back of the napkin math:

I don't really see what my personal limit has to do with the discussion. It's not $100. I don't think that's high. I think our current home games prices are very low in comparison to most schools. But you still won't answer my question what's YOUR limit? At what point do YOU become a cheapskate that you so easily toss around for those now?
Couldn’t get it to work on mobile, had to switch to desktop. Also note that the code is case-sensitive.anybody else having problems getting tix? im using ticketmaster app and presale code is being denied
Me too. There are several of us in the same predicament. Seems like a bug.“The code you entered is correct, but there are no more tickets available.”
Hmm, that doesn’t seem right. Any thoughts?
FWIW, I couldn’t get the code to work in the mobile browser or the mobile app (oh, and it’s apparently case-sensitive), so I’m logged into Ticketmaster on a desktop.
I buy presale tickets from Ticketmaster pretty regularly, so finding this to be a surprisingly frustrating experience…
