Commit #8 is in...

No skin in the game, yet their logo is your avatar and the site has been censored on here before.

Things that make you go hmmmmmm

Oh good grief...trust me...I am a paying subscriber. He is a good guy that runs it...and we are darn fortunate we have people covering GT because the pay they make is not great.

on Harrison Butker:
http://recruiting.scout.com/a.z?s=73&p=8&c=1&nid=6068513

Let people find out at least who it is without clicking, especially when there isn't really that much info after the click (there is a pay wall for more info).

Remember, posting your link here is a privilege, it's not your right. Are you sharing any of the money with stingtalk since they are sending clicks to you? My guess is no.
I make ZERO...I pay $100 a year like the others. I just want to see Rivals and Scout both do well for GT because the high school kids love reading about themselves and I love that we as GT fans can get inside info. The guy running the site is not getting a large windfall and has a family to feed. I just want to see a nice guy do ok. Anything wrong with that?

regardless, point is someone is making money off it, and you are obviously helping them. It's all great until you try to tell us what we can and can not do with public information.

... Back to Mr. Butker -
Welcome to GT! Hope you have a great career and break the GT points record!

I am just talking about right and wrong.

I also want what helps GT academically and athletically. Rivals and Scout are important for GT athletics and the recruiting of athletes...sites like this are great for fans to discuss all things GT.

People make a lot of money running sites for Bama, FSU, UGA, etc.....GT is not the case at all.

PJ's daughter went to Westminster with him so I think PJ has been following him closely. PJ wouldn't have offered him if he wasn't pretty darn confident.

linemen sprint to the goal line after each kick? ok. kid has a great leg!

If you watched the video on the first page, you'd see that they should sprint. Just getting a head start on those gassers that they'll have to do for their crappy blocking on the corner.

Well I don't have a problem with what hiveredtech posted. He's sharing information we didn't have, and I was glad it was linked from here since I don't normally read other GT sites. It's not like he was playing "I have a secret and won't tell" or "I have a secret but you have to pay to find out". Actually it seems just linking to Rivals' page was the right thing to do, for the reason he gave. Your annoyance with the inconvenience of his post is understandable but he doesn't deserve reprimand in my opinion.

It's been so long since we've made field goals regularly that I can't remember, are they worth 2 or 3 pts? :)

you may want to read it again, I replied to his post which complained of paintballer providing information

really cool....copy and paste. I have no skin in the gm....but I try to show respect to those that rely on this stuff to feed their children. At least give them the clicks even if not paying. of course...you probably do not have kids to feed so what do you know.

If he's relying on

After the 2011 season, Georgia Tech head coach Paul Johnson decided to revamp his entire special teams unit. Johnson hired David Walkosky to coach just special teams and then the Jackets focused their energy in recruiting on finding the right kicker. Westminster (Ga.) kicker Harrison Butker was Tech's lone offer at the position and on Saturday, he decided to commit to the Jackets.

to feed his kids, he has one skinny family. That's more of a tease than anything resembling stealing.

His daughter is like 4 yrs older though. Pretty sued he wasn't kicking on the varsity as a 13 yr old.

You were telling hiveredtech he is supposed to post more information and not make people click a link. But I think it's his prerogative to not post all the information.

I agree though that hiveredtech shouldn't have complained that gsusucks posted the teaser/summary from the site. It's information Rivals made publicly available on their site, and since only a couple sentences were copied verbatim it's probably fair use under copyright law.

To hiveredtech: If Rivals' business model is getting people on the honor system to go to the site to read public posts and view ads so they can collect ad revenue, they should just ask for donations and take out the advertiser middleman. That's not their business model though; it's to gain paid subscribers. Posting a teaser for a paid article and giving attribution by linking to the site seems to be the best thing one can do to support them!

Good god people. Stingtalk has never had any rules prohibiting stealing stuff, and that's one of the primary reasons people come here. A few less clicks from the ten people on Stingtalk isn't going to kill Kelley's revenue stream. Settle down.

YAY WE GOT A FREAKING KICKER.
