Dabo done went off on a caller

I think a lot of what he said is right but he has flat lost it - when you stoop to the level of feeling you have to defend yourself to "Tyler from Spartanburg" then you have lost. I can't believe he just didn't ignore this and move on. His line about "Expectation exceeding appreciation" is a good one but he should have simply left it at that. Before it was over, he came across as very narcistic. After all, he is only a frigging footballl coach. I always liked Dabo, but a degree from Bama does not exactly impress me.

Can't believe he would let Tyler from Spartanburg get under his skin like that. He was a little long winded. Dabo must be under a lot of pressure. It is hard hitting pay dirt on QBs. Seems like his luck of striking golden QBs has dried up.

Yeah didn’t he say something like I can go somewhere I’m appreciated towards the end? Where are you going Dabo? At 4 losses they wouldn’t have mean teenagers hurt your feelings on coaches show in Alabama, they would send a hit squad.

Want to know what the question was. Seems like he's punching down

If Dabo thought he had done a good job, he would never react like that. After he ran up the score on Tech and had his son throwing a 4th down 50-yard hail Mary pass in the last seconds of a game he was leading 57 to 6 or something in Atlanta, I said to Hell with him and Clemson. I decided I would pull against Clemson in every game they ever played in any sport after that, even if they were playing Georgia. Clemson began its epic decline right after that, and I have enjoyed every game they lost. I hope they never win again. I'm sure that fan was saying what many of their fans are thinking. The way Dabo handled it was text book stupid. He just told half their fans to go somewhere else. One day they will want all the fans they can get.

I love this. I can‘t wait until he takes the Bama job and leaves those idiots to mediocrity. He’ll hire Venables back ant Bama after he loses his OU gig.

I have no problem with calling coaches out not coaches who have 2 Natties in 7 years and won double digits for over a decade. They will deserve what follows.
No way Bama takes a coach that doesn’t embraces NIL and the Portal

The whole episode made Dabo look very thin skinned and a bit hysterical. The caller said I know you are a man of faith do you know what Proverbs says about pride goeth before the fall. Also it was funny when the caller said me and my family were supporting Clemson football when you were selling real estate.

What about two degrees from Bama? :readthis:

Seems pretty obvious that Dabo is frustrated with the season. Normally the average person doesn't randomly blow up unless the water was already boiling in the first place. The fact that he is 4-4 after having pretty much all key personnel raided is seems good, imo. Not justifying his actions - he shouldn't have acted out like that. Probably should take some conduct lessons from Saban on the proper way to have a rant when you have a bullseye on your back.

It's not hard, "Yeah it's on me and the coaching staff, we have to do better to win more games, next question." Dabo took it personally.

CPJ would have handled it better. He would have told Tyler from Spartanburg that if he didn't like the job he was doing then he could come on down to GT and punch him in the face.
