Defense is an embarrassment

I agree she didn’t. But some people read her support the players plea the wrong way and reacted worse. I was a bad look all they way around and just another chapter in the Chronicles of a Clown.

Disagree. Kiffin saw opportunity and weakness, and decided to keep his foot on the gas. If I were a head coach in today's college football climate, I'd try to put as many points on the board as possible.

The DL transfers in the past couple years have been devastating, but it's not a great excuse when there's the portal. Key doesn't get a pass on this season. If our defense sucks, he did a poor job. As head coach you have to find a way to get the personnel you need. Recruit or (metaphorically) die

Said it all preseason - only unit on the defense I felt comfortable about was the safeties. But man, even Brooks, Powell-Lee and King have not played well.
 
They played better against Lou and Wake. Against the 'cupcake' they folded (and the Offense wasn't anything to write home about). No excuse. I hate to say it though, it is year one of a rebuild. We have to at least get a couple of recruiting classes in before we can expect much results. We're supposed win with Goof's players? Not the way it works. But losing at home to BG? <GAK!> <CHOKE!> <GARGLE!> ON TO HARD ROCK!!!

No… the rebuild has happened. This team, especially the defense, should be playing better.
