the "poison" was the behavior of our "fans" and if you think it was Gailey i think you a fool

to say that Buzzoff was 'right about Gailey' and to deny that the same people that were slaming Gailey at every chance on BO are not the same as those booing during a game at a PO announcement on the big screen is naive

IMO, we let the idiot fans dictate policy, and i dont like it.

btw, as much as you chose to deny it, Gailey DID elevate our program, 11 straight bowl games was partly due to him. that had NOT been done before, he also had the best first 3-yr record in history at Tech.

when idiots yell and scream enough, they can make things happen - even if its not the right thing - to call that proof of their correctness is folly

Amazing the difficulty some have telling the diff between floor and ceiling. Hint: 7-5 is not the ceiling when you can get your team to your conference's championship game while still on probation.

Oh, and there is no question that buzzoff is the most censored of the GT boards. "No holds barred" unless you have the slightest disagreement with the mod. The other boards have code of conduct, which is clearly laid out; buzzoff has a point of view that must be held.

Nothing positives comes from BO. And defending them as "tech fans" is ridiculous. Hatred for Gailey is one thing, but you'll also see numerous posts slamming Clough because he "makes the mistake" of supporting academics over athletics. The only reason I that I hope the board is still around is only because it gives those looney toons a place where they can wallow in their own idiocy together, rather then polluting the rest of the internet.

When you yell and scream enough "AND IT IS THE RIGHT THING TO DO" - you are on the right side not the wrong!

I want to know what football team and program you've been following the last 6 years?????

Chan did NOT elevate this program from the previous coaching staff - not one bit! They had this program in the Top 25 at years end - and Tech was where with Chan?

Here we go, rewriting Tech football history by those who wanted to keep him because YOU believed he was better than those before him - YOU WERE WRONG THEN AND YOU ARE WRONG NOW!

Thank God the powers that be didn't listen to fans like you. We'd still have Chan and we'd still be mediocre.

Booing came from all fans - I doubt BuzzOff posters needed to boo - they pretty much have had plenty to say over the 6 season of disaster up front and with intense feeling.

Those booing were the fans who came on these boards and said great things but let it all out at the games - I think you call folks like that hippocrits!:laugher:

I feel sorry for fans that feel it necessary to hide there feelings because of some undying pledge to 'not rock the boat' - what crap!:ugh:
 
Gailey's problem was he thought his decisions were always right whether it was about a player or his play calling. He would never consider that maybe someone else did have a better idea or might do a better job. He didn't connect with the fans and didn't want to. His philosphy on offense was get 1 point ahead of the other team and try and hold them.Oh, and don't forget, he was always looking for a better coaching position.
