Did they fumble in their own end zone and give us a TD?

It was so crazy good. Christian was on a go route and decided to why the hell not drift across a wide open filed and Haynes was down to a sack or a Hail Mary to end the game and there came Christain. Bingo, Bango, Boingo. Thinga booty I tells ya! öööö the Canes.

Actually Christian ran a post route or crossing route. Miami looking for us to try a 25 to 30 yd quick out so we could run out of bounds and stop the clock, (just like we had down the previous play and set up a tying field goal) never paid him any attention in the middle of the field. Once King started the scramble, Christian simply cut behind the safety who wasn't paying him any attention (smart move there as you are mostly taught on scrambles to come back to the QB.) and that was all she wrote!. We have given Buster a lot of bad knocks on play calling, but it was great for him to have a receiver run that original route.

The play call was 4 verts. King got out of the pocket and they all went into scramble drill mode. He saw Haynes roll his way so he cut to the far pylon. Blaylock was his comeback guy on the sideline.

Maybe you were in the huddle and heard them call 4 verticals, watch the tape. Christian cut towards the middle of the field, and like I said the safety ignored him because they thought we would go side routes. He then looped behind the safety and took off back towards the pylon. If that wasn't called or practiced, big kudos to Christian for being just plain sneaky.

Maybe you missed the end of game press conferences where Haynes King and Leary both said the play call was 4 verts. 4 verts isn't just run in a straight line. If theres a guy in front of you you have to arc it in our out and hit the seam. That's why he broke it inside. When King scrambled and rolled right, Leary went into scramble drill mode and followed him.

Four verts probably included the skinny post Leary ran before breaking off to find open space that his QB could hit on the run. Whatever, it was executed near perfectly.

It was an exciting thing of beauty!! Been a long time since I spontaneously combusted, sold some sand, ran around the den and set the house on fire.

(Added a little 20ozBD flavor there for some of you OFs!)
