Speaking of dropping a snap, we need to give him acting lessons on fake punts. Our punter needs to sell the bad snap a little better. I expect a damn Shakespeare-ian effort from the punter selling a bad snap on the fake. Our best player dropped a snap
BTW, I think VT was sending a guy every time around each side to prevent us from rugby punting, since we really like to do that
It must be depressing to be a VT fan and know that your program was the 2000 Sugar Bowl win away from a national title and couldn't get it done. Leading in the 3rd quarter and folded. Holding FSU to less than 50 yards rushing while rushing for more than 250. Mike Vick at QB. Dominating TOP by more than 10 minutes. Running 20+ more offensive plays during the game. Over 500 yards of offense to 300.
Now, they are a mediocre program that likely will never sniff that chance again.
I wrote that just in case any VT fans were cruising by our board. I want them to be depressed.
So I'm guessing the win yesterday hurts the "Big Four" argument we hear around here?
Holy ööööing hell! Does someone think that the Miami “fans” and VPi fans are colluding??????? They know the secret is getting a 2 score lead on us! Holy öööö. Do. Not. Let. Kirbz. Find. Out.
Forgot to mention the opening play of the damn game where Taquon overthrew Jeune who was literally 5 yards behind the safeties. We left 10-14 points on the field and they picked up 6-10.
Jeune also admitted that he slowed up on that play, and said he sprinted as hard as he could the next time.If you re-watch the play a VT DB hooked Jeune just enough as he ran by him to cost Jeune the half a step he needed to haul the ball in. Should have at least been a defensive holding call.
Don't worry -- its proponents will modify the cherry-picking to suit their confirmation bias.So I'm guessing the win yesterday hurts the "Big Four" argument we hear around here?
I bet the corners were surprised both times by the speed of the play for Stewart's and Jeune's TD receptions. They were flying.Jeune also admitted that he slowed up on that play, and said he sprinted as hard as he could the next time.
It’s a hard strategy to execute when we’re also trying to employ our own super secret strategy of scoring more points than the other team. I’ll delete in one hour.

Looked to be caused by our offensive lineman not disengaging fast enough - after being held by the VPI player. But a good call. Its a shame really, because the rest of the blocking on that play was great. It was the very definition of chop block and looked to be caused by some blocking confusion on the OL.
Jeune also admitted that he slowed up on that play, and said he sprinted as hard as he could the next time.
My daughter was at the Auburn game. I explained to her when she asked how our game went that we should have won by 21, but ended up having to rally from behind to win by 6. She said "Sounds about like Tech"Here's how that game should've gone:
We should've won that game 49-16 and sent their fans crying home in the third quarter.
- Jeune runs all-out on the first play and we score a TD. Don't blame him for thinking the ball would hang in the air another 40 seconds though given it has all season. Net: GT + 7
- We don't get an idiotic chop block and then give up a TD on their end. Net: GT +10-14 (I'll spot us a TD there though, we were on fire)
- We don't have to go for 2 and go full retard on it, so we just make the PAT on the long-bomb TD at the end. Net: GT +0 since we made it anyway
