Dilly Dilly Castrated Turkey Tears!

Marshall misses the pitch on about half our triple option plays. There was one in the 1st half of VT that I was screaming about. Pitch guy could have gone for 15 but Marshall held it and got 2.
Shit, if he pitches on the 2-point conversion attempt against UT, Butch Jones would have filed for unemployment 6 weeks earlier.

Sure. It’s an easy way to injure the defender. The fact that we’re arguing over one of the reasonable chop block calls weve gotten in the past ten years is a little weird.

Agreed. We can talk semantics all day but even slow-mo it doesn’t look good. Real time it looks nasty. I’d have called it on us too.

We can’t bitch about the bogus DL holding an OL to create a call scenarios if we’re not gonna acknowledge that it occasionally happens like any other team.

To be fair, if I were a Hokie, I'd be butthurt about the coaches after that game.

Throwing 2 passes on 3rd and 1, when your best pass play so far was a fluke deflection where we had too many guys in position to intercept it?

Beyond that, going for 2 was stupid the first time. Not kicking the field goal was stupid after that. Then you have to go for 2 and get stuffed again. They should've been in position to kick a game-winning field goal at the end.

After all these years, I’m amazed people still think cut blocks are an option/service academy/Tech only thing.

I will never forget Beamer getting a chop block call the week he complained to the ACC officials about it through the media. His OL chased that one down with a leg whipping call. He just stood there with his characteristic blank stare that said "this wasn't supposed to happen".

You mean this one?

Head coach Justin Fuente was adamant after the Georgia Tech loss that the Hokies rebounded from the Miami loss -- "They did recover from last week," he said in the post-game. "I don’t want to hear anything about they didn’t recover" -- but defensive coordinator Bud Foster and a few players said there might have been some hangover.

"In my opinion, I think we let one game affect another one with the Miami game," Foster said. "We kind of slept-walked through practice last Tuesday."

"I’d say we didn’t have our usual Tuesday demeanor," center Eric Gallo said. "We were maybe a little bit down in the dumps, maybe, because of that heartbreaking loss at Miami. But we learned last week, based on that Tuesday, that we’ve got to be able to turn the page after a game. So we’ve got to treat each game like a new season."

Phillips also said he noticed last week that guys were down following the Miami loss, which knocked the Hokies out of contention in the Coastal Division. It took players longer to get going during the week.

"I guess you can kind of say that Miami beat us twice, which is tough," Phillips said. "No discredit to Georgia Tech. They did exactly what they were supposed to do. Made the plays down the stretch when it mattered and ultimately won. But we just can't have that. As seniors, it's up to us to lead the guys regardless of circumstance.

lol @ their "heartbreaking" loss to Miami

If true, he should be on a short leash. Perhaps a firing is in order if he can't motivate his team to play games "beneath" a team of Virginia Tech's stature.

And "as seniors" you will have ALWAYS lost your final two ballgames to GT. I suppose last season getting beaten by a backup running QB keepers was also because you were just unmotivated to play GT. I suppose GT just needs to make sure we hold VT in the proper awe from here on out.
