Does Attendance Top 50K Saturday Night?

There are some? I asked my buddy to name a Georgia State fan. He couldn't. I know people who go to Mercer games. Can't name a single Georgia State fan.
Given coming off a winning season, the first in five years, a bowl game, the first in five years, and a bowl win, the first in seven, and a win over a top 10 team to start the season, I really thought we'd have a bigger Tech crowd. I didn't expect Night School to bring many people.
And I don't think this needs to be a series or something played with great frequency. I fully expect the crowd at Center Parc Stadium for the return date to be 90% Tech.
I'd rather have a series with a team that will bring a crowd and help fill up Historic Grant Field/Bobby Dodd Stadium.

I know a lot of Georgia state grads, but I’ve never met a Georgia State fan. I’ve actually seen George State play football three times in person now. Saw them about 10 years ago in the dome vs Troy because my kids youth football team got to play on the field right after their game ended. Probably about two or 3000 people there, with a couple of hundred being there for the youth football. Saw them again at Auburn a few years ago for parents weekend, where they almost pulled the upset. The third time was Saturday night. I’ll be there next year at the Ted.

Georgia Southern certainly brought more fans.

And, if you remember, the GSU and GT fans cheered in unison hearing South Carolina beating UGAg in 2014.

Also official attendance numbers will not be correct. We arrived at kickoff and gate 4 attendants were just waving folks through and not bothering to scan tickets.
