That’s not Collins fault. That’s the NCAA’s fault. There should not be free agency in CFB. The new rules of the player portal were intended to screw every middle tier program like GT and widen the gap even further between the haves and have nots. That’s going to happen to every single coach at Georgia Tech after Collins leaves.

Georgia Tech needs to break away from what is currently called college football and play against other academic schools that actually put academics first.
 
You could shut down the portal at times, but that would not stop players from announcing their intentions. What the NCAA should do is make a rule that an athlete can only begin participating at a new school at the beginning of an enrollment period - fall semester, spring semester, summer first session, summer second session. It should be a major violation to allow the player access to the weight room or training facilities or permit them to attend practice until they are matriculating at the school. This might limit some of the mid-semester desire to enter the portal.

I guess go reach out to players on quality rosters and try to bring over a transfer at the end of Spring semester. Everyone else actively recruits players at other schools. Get with it.

I disagree here. Jordan made alot plays on the field for us.
 
If I knew technology well enough, I would post the song "free fallin'", cause that is what GT football is doing.

I'm not even saying with a legitimate HC it would be any different. I'm not sure anymore. I do think with a legit HC and better performance the past 2 years, the "free fallin'" might be slower. But, who knows with this NIL/TP, it might have been faster without a con-man running the show.
