Sims has some CRAZY statistics:
"Sims is in the group of finalists after passing for 2,000-plus yards, rushing for 1,400 yards and accounting for 63 touchdowns."
you heard it hear first!Dontae is probably the best all-around athlete in this recruiting class for us.
you heard it hear first!
I was thinking the same thing when i watched it. It also seems like he makes the first guy always miss which is a huge plus.He also knows when to throw a bullet and when to throw a rainbow.
If we have 2 or 3 injuries to QBs, we need to still have a guy who can come in and run the triple well enough to win. We could easily see a season where Nesbitt, Aycock, Shaw, Sims, & Luallen all get meaningful minutes.
Agreed, I think you'd only see a rs come off if there was a big rash of injuries that forces PJ's hand.
I agree expectations would be lowered, but PJ's expectations and desire to win would not.
Last year we got down to Booker, and it almost cost us a loss. Good teams have depth, both for injuries, and so they can reload instead of rebuild.
Next year we will most certainly use a freshman as quarterback. Count on it. Booker is a bad example at 3rd/4th string because he was not an option quarterback at all.
Next year, we play three and Dykes will be a valuable 4th ready to go. Personally I think Tevin is moving, so one of the freshman are playing or at least preparing to be playing.
I agree...I think whoever is the best between the true freshmen will be a 3rd string redshirt. Meaning they will keep the redshirt on if we avoid injuries, but if Josh or Jaybo misses a game the redshirt gets pulled....unless its November or later, then it will be Dykes.
